In fact, a wall would be as STALINISTIC as hell. We got rid of the Berlin Wall not so long ago and now wingnuts want us to build wall that makes the Berlin wall look insignificant. Besides a wall may look impressive, but it probably will not stop much illegal immigration.

Negotiate 'Comprehensive Immigration Reform' that would be restructure our current immigration system combined with new immigration policies. It would be negotiated between Republicans and Democrats. Since the Republicans hold the majority power in Washington, they would get the majority say. Make laws that prevent illegals from benefiting from government programs.

In short, a wall is a stupid idea. It will not solve the issue. The Republicans refuse to really fix the problem through immigration reform because the Republicans gain a huge political following by complaining about immigrants - they have no intention of fixing the problem.

I'm against sanctuary cities. Instead it would be better for a comprehensive immigration policies that allowed the States to somewhat set their own quotas on immigrants. The States could then allow individual municipalities to set their own quotas, within the States quotas.

It's all a matter of getting immigration under control thru realistic means. If you don't have a realistic comprehensive immigration policy it means that the whole system is broken...in a way no one should complain about illegal immigration until a comprehensive policy is created. The system is broken, it needs to be fixed. A comprehensive immigration policy is the right way to start.

Personally, I don't get the wall thing. Walls are necessary where there's limited space between two sides. We have satellites, electronics, dogs, helicopters and machine guns, what it comes down to is don't pussy-foot around like an Obama-type, put a cap in their ass if they don't follow instructions.

Additionally, before someone is deported they must be identified, even if that involves a chip or branding. They come back then they're incarcerated on the South American dime.
