Less than five months before the Affordable Care Act fully kicks in, hospitals are improving care and saving millions of dollars with one of the least touted but potentially most effective provisions of the law.

While much of the focus on Obamacare has been on the government rush to open insurance exchanges by Oct. 1, 252 hospitals and physician groups across the U.S. have signed up to join the administration’s accountable care program, in which they share the financial risk of keeping patients healthy.

Under the program, hospitals and physician practices take responsibility for tracking and maintaining the health of elderly and disabled patients. obamacare was never read. Not even by the people who wrote it. obamacare was written by several interested groups who had no idea what the other groups were writing. The entire document has since been read, after it was passed. Now we know how bad it is.

Nancy Pelosi said we have to pass it in order to know what's in it. What she meant was that obamacare was compiled and no one would know what all the different compilations said unless it was passed.

What you hear in the media is not necessarily based on facts. Every state requested approval to expand Medicaid. The states that did not expand is not because the governor didn't want to expand Medicaid. The federal government denied their application for various reasons.

Any state that was too generous with their Medicaid benefits were denied. The government has already reduced healthcare funding in many states for this reason.

Republicans actually proposed a lot of good ideas. Like allowing cross border policies and eliminating anti-free market regulations. Now I'll grant you my question at the time was why they never thought of those things when they were in power. But they were actually good proposals.The Democrats refused to discuss or vote on any of them, asking Republicans to propose more socialism, then saying they proposed nothing when they didn't.
