Free speech is fine. I have no problem with it. What I have a problem with is news agencies making claims with the only bit of investigation is do I like the person.
News years ago was in-depth investigation. They ran the story then moved on, today most seem to be centered on feelz and how it will affect ratings. If a news agency doesn’t put in the investigation and ends up covering something that is not substantiated then they should at least cover an apology as much as they covered the incorrect story. Certain publications did apologize. CNN and MSNBC never did they just dropped it like a hot potatoe and hoped that people would forget about it
