Why Didn't George W. Bush Close The Borders?

Bush had a streak of open borders in him. Cantor's loss might make George ' s brother Jeb think twice about running on an open borders platform.
But where was the FERVER from the rest of the Party?

Well, I haven't seen any Republican give a valid good thing Bush did during his term.
Yet, you demonize, bash and attack Obama for doing and/or allowing the same. exact. things that Bush did.
In this case, not closing the borders, but you had power for 6 of the 8 years of the Bush Regime to do so.
Do you see why it's hard to take you folks seriously?

4 years not 6, quit lying. And those 4 years we only had 51 Senators. You lot claimed you couldn't get shit done with 59.
So you say.

Listen guys, my point is simple. No one on the Republican side made it an issue when THEY HAD THE BEST CHANCE to do something about it during Bush's two terms.

All of sudden it's a crisis now.

It smacks of disengenousness to put it mildly.

I'm sure you all can see and agree with that.

You simply need to quit watching MSNBC, reading the NYT and cruising Daily Kos if you want to know what is actually going on in the real world.

George W. Bush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"A heated public debate followed, which resulted in a substantial rift within the Republican Party, most conservatives opposed it because of its legalization or amnesty provisions.[187] The bill was eventually defeated in the Senate on June 28, 2007, when a cloture motion failed on a 46–53 vote.[188] Bush expressed disappointment upon the defeat of one of his signature domestic initiatives.[189]".

Let me know if there is anything else you are incapable of googling on your own.

How about these few simple rules for regulating immigration?

--Immigrants must have necessary funds for their sustenance and dependents

--Foreigners may be barred from the country if they are not physically or mentally healthy

--Illegal immigration is a felony

--Foreigners deported & who attempt to re-enter without authorization can be imprisoned up to 10 years

--Non-citizens cannot in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.

But that would disenfranchise Democrat voters.

That's fascinating.

Those are some of the rules Mexico imposes and ENFORCES on immigrants..Legal and illegal.

Here's the same list citing the article it comes under;

--Immigrants must have necessary funds for their sustenance and dependents
(Article 34)

--Foreigners may be barred from the country if they are not physically or
mentally healthy(Article 37)

--The General Law on Population says under Mexican Law, Illegal immigration is
a felony (Art.123)

--Foreigners deported from Mexico & attempt to re-enter without
authorization can be
imprisoned up to 10 years (Article 118)

--Non-citizens cannot in any way participate in the political affairs of the
country.

Mexico

Medical: No treatment for illegals
Education: No education for illegals
Deportation: No due process required
Misd. Vs. Felony: 2 yrs, 10 yrs, Felony
Aid: No Sustenance, may deport

Funny..mexico's immigration laws are stricter and better enforced than americas..THAT is VERY revealing.

This country is finished.

I don't think its quite finished, but the liberals and their kenyan messiah are trying very hard to destroy it. this november and 2016 will decide whether the USA remains a free democratic republic or becomes a socialist welfare state.

We are at the crossroads.
