I've often wondered the same thing.

Taxes pay for my roads and street lighting, for plumbing and wastewater treatment, for schools and hospitals.

Those are all good things. I sometimes wince when I pay my 24% VAT bill each month, but by and large I pay my taxes with a smile on my face. I am paying my part towards a fair, efficient society with good services.

I wonder sometimes if Republicans would prefer someone else pay their costs for them.

Our Founding Fathers Kicked out the Kings and Queens in the Revolutionary War. They did it for a Reason, because they don't believe in Authoritarian Rule.

We are a Republic and want to keep it that way. We don't BELIEVE IN TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION, which is why we kicked the Brits to the curb in 1776.

The Great EURO Dollar. They all combined their currencies to make EUROPE STRONGER ECONOMICALLY. Yet in this case the WEAK PULL DOWN THE STRONG, prime example Greece and the Strong Germany pulling them out.

Why did Greece fall? Because they overdid THEIR SOCIALIST FREE TO EVERYONE POLICIES. In Greece's Bailout GERMANY DEMANDED THAT THEY CUT PROGRAMS to keep them from being BAILED OUT CONTINUOUSLY. That is a HISTORICAL FACT.

Greece did WHAT GREAT SOCIALIST DO, offer FREE STUFF TO EVERYONE WITHOUT THE MEANS TO PAY FOR IT.

It's not every tax. Nore is it about a few taxes being supported.
Why do the left think only in terms of all taxes are punishing?
The left think in terms of no taxes or all taxes, they can't seem to perceive taxes for the good of everyone versus taxes that reward the lazy or those who do not take responsibility for themselves.
Why should a person who works hard, give to one who sits on the couch all day drinking beer and playing video games?
Why is it always an either- or for the left?
Why should Americans taxes pay for expensive lawyers to defend the IRS, when the IRS goes after a tax payer who has been falsely accused and does not pay back their expenses for lawyers?
