The far left wants to turn the clock back to the 7th century, not the 18th, century. By bringing in hundreds of thousands if not a few million Islamists whose average child birthrate per family is at 7.1, they would be ensuring that at some point in the future, this nation would become an Islamic majority and thus an Islamic theocracy and one just has to look at how backward Islam is compared with either the east or west.

Lol governments where feudal, which means the central government gives up most of all it's rights to local rulers. And guilds are proto conglomerates. So try again.

Well then I spect' most of those local rulers best give up those illegal foreign nationals to the central government lawful agencies and follow all the rest of the rules that the current central government dictates out to them.

The guilds also ensured rules were enforced that made it next to impossible for a private individual to practice a trade unless you were in that guild which is what's happening more and more today as now it requires multiple licenses to preform a job that use to only require one license. Then there are the foreign nationals who have college degrees in various fields from their home country who are not allowed to practice their profession here because the colleges in collusion with the central or local government refuse to recognize that degree. Nothing more than the guild system being reestablished in collusion with government approval.
