Why do you want more government in your life?

What Dave said that was moronic, infantile, and showed a complete misunderstanding of the US Constitution and legal system.

Any denial of the right to travel as a constitutional doctrine shows your inadequacy at discussing policy, law, and our government.

Awesome. Glad you're joining that sinking ship...and failing to add anything.

Moronic, infantile and incorrect[/QUOTE]

Fixed.

You've failed to disprove that it's a constitutional doctrine when I've clearly shown that it is.
The amount of credibility of your posts is dropping severely fast.

I think many people feel if there's more Government in their lives they'll have a better chance of receiving something for free. Many are willing to trade in their Freedom & Liberty for the possibility of receiving something for free. That mentality is pervasive all across our nation. In reality, that old saying "Nothing is Free" is 100% accurate. Somebody always pays. More & more people are willing to just give away all their Freedom & Liberty and that's just sad. The Government will always tell the People that it's for their own good. Unfortunately many will always buy into that scam. So many terrible things are done to the People in the name of "It's for your own good." I hope more people wake up and realize that nothing is for free. It's best to just try and preserve your Freedom & Liberty. I'm optimistic though. I think more & more people are catching on. Lets hope so anyway.

In other words, you can't argue with the ideas so youll just insult.

What you're noticing is my FRUSTRATION.

I've ALREADY proven what I asserted...

a) that there is a "right to travel" constitutional doctrine
b) that not every law is verbatim in the constitution

They wont respond with anything of substance...but they keep talking trash.

that gets me frustrated and I start insulting. Yep.

I'm just curious: Are you married?

If so, then you should be pretty used to this little scenario.

LOL. Yes, I'm married. And you're right, it's a very similar frustration :)

Pardon me while I head to the bathroom for a minute...

The possibility of receiving something for free from the Government is an incredibly powerful magnet. Many people will gladly give away their Freedom & Liberty if they feel they will possibly receive something for free from the Government. It really is human nature in the end. That's what makes Socialism/Communism so wrong. It makes some people feel right but it really is so wrong. Nothing is Free. Someone always pays. I just hope & pray more Americans start to understand this.

Hey, block head. What in god's name are you blathering about? What freedom and liberty have people given away in exchange for "Something free from the government?" I hear this reverberated over and over with very loose justifications.

Diversions aside, what "Freedom & Liberty" have you or anyone else given up, or are you or anyone else preparing to give up?

Be very wary when the Government starts telling you "It's for your own good." That usually translates into being only what's good for them. I hear they're now going to start regulating how much salt you will be allowed to consume. Hey,it's for your own good right? So many are willing to buy into anything. Many are just giving their Freedom & Liberty away and that's the saddest thing. People really should start paying closer attention. Is all this Government oppression really so good for you?

Oh yes, that's what's good for them... OOooOoOooOhhhh... Part of the vast left wing liberal conspiracy to bring the salt industry to it's ever-loving KNEES! :muahaha: Then we can replace it with a clandestine product that tastes like salt, but actually is an anti-rejection drug for your mind control chip.

You might actually be clinically insane. Get a cat-scan for Christ's sake.

I knew the salt thing would come up soon as I heard about it on the radio today.

the mistrust of our government has reached painful proportions.

Far as I know, it's an effort to get pre-packaged food manufacturers to, you know, stop killing us quite so much. By all accounts, I think you could buy a carton of Morton's and pour as much as your little heart desires on whatever you want.

Exactly. But whackadoos like LibApoc are going to continually spin it into "zomg! radical interventionism by a socialist government!!"

Yes, the government is forcing a private company to do something they wouldn't ordinarily do.

No, that's not evil.

How bout just allowing American Citizens to decide for themselves how much salt they would like to consume? Pretty revolutionary idea huh? I know how shocking that must sound to Socialist/Progressive nutters but in reality it's just good ole common sense. What other Freedoms & Liberties are they going to take away in the name of "It's for your own good?" Where does this flawed mentality end? Something to think about no?

Let's just not have any laws at all.

You're saying that any rules that stop people from doing what they want to do are unconstitutional restraints...take that to its logical end....

ANARCHY...NO LAWS. PEOPLE GET TO DO WHATEVER THE HELL THEY WANT TO.

You can go off and start your own country like that...but that's not what I want.

I never said that. However, allowing American Citizens to decide for themselves how much salt they would like to consume is hardly "Anarchy." How many more Laws do we really need at this point? Where does it end? Does it only end when we become a locked-down Police State? It looks like that's where we're heading unfortunately. Today it's salt but what will be tomorrow and so on and so on? You have to take a stand at some point. I think the time is now to start taking a stand. Hey,that's just how i feel anyway.
