Why GWB will be one of the greatest Presidents in MY LIFETIME...

I am first and foremost a FACT MONGER... meaning I deal in FACTS !
Then deal with what I said ... the numbers you posted were NOT FACTUAL...

You said ...

When Bush started 131,785,000 people employed.
At the end of 2008 136,790,000 people employed or

5,000,000 more employed then when he took office.

I posted the FACTUAL numbers along with a link to the BLS.

I also went to the trouble of calculating job growth for each president and came up with ...

President ............. total
Clinton ........ 22,798,000
Reagan ....... 16,102,000
Johnson ...... 12,183,000
Carter ........ 10,339,000
Nixon ........... 9,181,000
Kennedy ....... 3,572,000
Eisenhower ... 3,538,000
Obama ......... 3,134,000
Bush41 ......... 2,617,000
Ford ..............2,073,000
Bush43 ....... 1,083,000

Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

Bush was dead last in employment growth despite your lie that 5 million jobs were added during his watch.

Deal with that ...

How do you determine the president with the worst job performance in your lifetime in terms of job growth ... is among the best???

Just how demented are you??

Still no response about this from healthmyths. How tragic his stats are so flawed, he can't even attempt to defend them.

  12. Add these numbers up: 1,845,000 which is exactly what you said and I was wrong!

BUT YOU never took in account these events..........
400,000 jobs lost due to worst hurricane SEASONS 7 of the top 10 hurricanes occurred during 2001 to 2008!
2,500,000 jobs in due to 9/11
300,000 jobs skilled technology workers were out of jobs due to dot.com bust...
3,200,000 total jobs lost to the above events which have NEVER occurred to any President in history!

Without those EVENTS occurring adding 3,200,000 jobs lost to the 1,845,000 jobs gained equals 5,045,000 jobs

"Ongoing uncertainty about the war on terror has contributed to the loss of more than 2.5 million jobs in the 18 months following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, said John A. Challenger, CEO of Chicago-based Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
Job cuts in the 18 months before Sept. 11 tallied 1,642,988 positions lost. From Sept. 11 through the end of February, job losses totaled 2,523,217, an increase of 54%, or 880,988 jobs, Challenger said. The largest losses were in the transportation industry, where 226,674 jobs were eliminated, and the aerospace/defense sector, where 138,937 jobs were cut.
"There is no way to gauge to what degree the effect 9/11 and the war on terror had on the economy," Challenger said in a telephone interview today.
But he noted that since the attacks people have been flying less, which has reduced the number of face-to-face meetings, which he said are vital for creating new partnerships between companies, new ideas and new entrepreneurial opportunities.

And we got eight more years of him with the Affirmative Action Failure we have in the OutHouse right now.

The whole point of the thread was IN spite of all the damaging efforts to bash Bush and IN SPITE of ALL the events that NO other President in history had ever
had happen Bush NEVER forgot he was the servant of the people! He NEVER thought himself SMARTER or a better speaker but the one thing he did know is
he loved this country! He served in the military. His Dad was a hero. And all through the CRAP the MSM put out Bush almost NEVER acted like our current juvenile in chief.. knocking America! He was proud unlike Obama of America. He was POSITIVE about America and at the darkest hours after 9/11 90% of Americans appreciated this defender of America!

NEVER... NEVER in GWB's thoughts were to blame America! Unlike the traitor Obama who said our military air-raiding villages killing civilians"!
NOT ONE time had Bush ever said such terrible things about America and our military.
Another trait that I admired about President Bush is that unlike some of the other Presidents, he was not a womanizer.

The absence of a particular trait you consider to be a negative quality in others does not by itself translate into an admirable trait.

That would be like saying that you admire someone because he's not an alcoholic. Or that you admire someone because she's not a smoker.

It would be different if a person overcame a shortcoming. So, in the case of Bush, it would be true to say that it's admirable that he overcame a drinking problem around the age of 40. See what I mean?
Well, I figured it was worth mentioning given that it appears to be a trend. The President before him was a womanizer, and it appears that the one that succeeded him appears to be as well.

Whoooaaa :eusa_hand::eusa_hand::eusa_hand:

What a lying sac you are. Why do you lie in order to fluff Bush? Is it a friends with benefits kind of thing?

You're omitting January, 2009 from that equation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Bush still president for most of January?

Why would you not attribute January, 2009 numbers to the president who served most of the month and whose policies had the greatest effect on employment??

Oh, wait, here's why ... Because in the month of January, 2009, alone, there were almost 800,000 jobs lost and you don't want Bush to own the mess created on his watch.

Employment under Bush's terms increased by only 1.1 million -- the worst performance of any president during your lifetime. You must love failures cause there's been no greater failure than Bush in terms of employment.

And let's not forget, you claimed a) there was an increase of 5 million jobs during his term; and b) that you "deal in facts"

Both statements have proven to be false.

Bush for sure wasn't a womanizer. Bush was into guys. Former Mayor of Knoxville, Jeff gannon, saudi princes. Anyway women don't go for guys that look like chimps.

LMAO. It doesn't look good, does it? I know first-hand that there's a lot of gay goin' on in Texas state politics, so I'm sure GWB took some of it to D.C. with him. Poor Laura.

That is just silly. G.W. Bush is a man of faith. In addition, he has no feminine demeanor. Definitely not gay.

Absolutely not, hater dupe. Health care, regulation on Wall St. and fracking etc, civil diplomacy, UE extensions, alternative energy, tolerance of gays, minorities, women- much more without 100 percent mindless Pub obstruction.

Sorry to put coal in your stocking, dickweed...but yes we did.

17 trillion in debt headed to 20.

Downgrade of credit rating.

No transparency.......

Obamacarelessness.......

Wall Street still getting huge bonuses.

No job creation.

Highest running unemployment in a long time.

More part time jobs.

Etc Etc.

Dupe ? Is that your middle name....it comes up a lot.

Even for someone with a 50 word vocabulary....you use it a great deal.

190- THE problem in today's USA- greedy Pubs and RW zombies...sorry about averting a full blown depression and helping the victims- cost 4-5 trillion...

There was no depression and you Affirmative Action Failure prolonged the recovery we needed by meddling.

Then he and David Axelrod bent you over and gave you their version of the story.

Democratic Date Rape.

Sure, and I've ten million in the bank.

Your just pissed because nobody watches Chris Matthews or his slave "The Reverend" Al Sharpton.

To bad your mother dropped you on your head so many times.

For Bush to have been a great president, wouldn't he have had to do at least a few things that a reasonable person could categorize as 'great'?

Where are those things?

Sure, no problem, hater dupe, just a 9 per cent retraction and 7 million jobs lost, even with TWO TRILLION in bailout and stimulus....consider yourself a functional ZOMBIE...

Here's just a few:

1. Ordered an invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 to overthrow the Taliban.
2. Implemented the $1.3 trillion tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, significantly
lowering the marginal tax rates for nearly all U.S. taxpayers (I still
recall the nice check I received in the mail).
3. Captured Saddam Hussein for which he was brought to trial and received
the death penalty. He was executed by his own countrymen.

What about the trillions in debt from stupid tax cuts for the rich?

The couple of thousand dead from neglect after Katrina?

The tens of thousands dead and maimed in Iraq?

The trillions lost rebuilding Iraq.

The.......well, you get the picture.

Totally lying to Pat Tillman's parents about the circumstances of their son's death...

BTW, THE UNEMPLOYED AND THOSE ON WELFARE CAUSED DIRECTLY BY booosh still cost the gov't 400 billion a year- something else you'll never hear on your bs propaganda machine...
