Why we don't want voter ID

Voter ID is a solution to a problem that does not exist. Just another example of Conservative policies aimed squarely at minorities for repression's sake.

Not true. It is already required in some states and is working to prevent voter fraud. The ID is also used to prevent other types of fraud as well. The only conclusion as to why the Democrats are opposed to voter id is that they are not opposed to voter fraud.

Look, voter ID is working in some states. That is a fact.
If voter fraud was a real problem I assure you that Democrats would be there with a workable solution. But voter fraud is not a prevalent problem in the United States. Voter ID laws seek to solve a problem that does not exist. Therefore, the only real reason to require voter IDs is to suppress the vote. It's purely political.
ONE fraudulent vote is too many.

Iowa is making it more difficult in a different fashion, where 100,000 former felons having completed their sentences are now being blocked from registering by the Republican Governor who has rolled back the law where felons who have served out their time can have their voting rights restored.
I see your point and I've little doubt criminals vote overwhelmingly Democrat. It makes sense on all counts.

Sure, that's why Florida has a lifetime voting ban on felony convictions, that's 1.5 million people or 10% of the voting population.

But not to vote?

How many of these things are rights?
Not the point. The examples illustrate the need for valid identification for many everyday things.

Notice the ones who have all these jazzy solutions to the problem never seem to create the easy to solve problem in their own community? THATS JUST A COINCIDENCE TOO!

That's just drivers license offices...

And those Democrats can still get a state ID... Matter of fact, they should already have one, since it's necessary for them to get their welfare and food stamps!!!

Just drivers license offices

Do you have a state ID? Do you know where to get one?

We now see the true implementation of voter ID. Pass the laws ant then start throwing up roadblocks to those you don't want to vote

We've had voter ID in Florida for many years now. We have no problems at all with it. The Blacks show their ID just like the Vietnamese, the Hispanics, the Whites, etc.

I usually renew my drivers license through the mail. It's really difficult. The mail man brings it right to my box.

I'll make you a deal

If getting acceptable ID is so easy, how about we require that 99% of adults in a state have valid ID before voter ID can take effect?
It will motivate the politicians to make sure ID is readily available
Tell me are you gonna go against the government when they go paperless to go green? All those poor people will have to get an id or drivers license to get a bank account. So their checks can be automatically drafted.

Voter Fraud Is Rampant, And Democrats Ignore It

But I'll play...

If there's not a voter fraud problem, then the Democrats obviously just want blacks to not have an ID, where they can be homeless and starve, since they can't rent a place to live, or get welfare or food stamps...

And they have to do without booze or cigarettes too...

Why do the racist Democrats hate blacks so much???
What kind of absent minded circular logic are you throwing on the wall in hopes it will stick? No one said there should be NO IDs! There should be no requirement for an ID when exercising your right to vote.

If you want to play, play sensibly or not at all.
There should be no requirement for an ID when exercising your right to vote.
Why not?..Spare yourself the keystrokes by NOT typing the myriad of excuses put forth in liberal talking points

It is precisely the point. Voter rights cannot be curtailed anymore than gun owner's rights.

1 fraudulent vote is too many. In a close election, a few fraudulent votes could change the outcome. But you dems know that and thats why you oppose voter ID laws.
That's not at all why 'we Dems' oppose voter ID. Had you been paying attention, you would know why.

Voter ID is voter suppression. There is not enough voter fraud to mandate a requirement that suppresses votes.
There is NO proof whatsoever that confirms the need for an ID to vote suppresses the vote of any individual or group.....
In fact if there is any suppression, it is individuals suppressing their own vote by not making the slightest effort to obtain an ID.

First you'd have to prove your claim.
BTW, one DOES need an ID to make a legal gun purchase. And one DOES need an ID to obtain a permit to own a gun.
Again, this entire issue is based on a conspiracy theory that rose from the publishing of an opinion piece.

I think that it is a constitutional question as to whether states can create a lifetime sentence, after a sentence has been completed. It means that rehabilitation is impossible and I think it is incorrect. Of course that is why we have it, can't have Democrats voting and all.

When you say no proof what do you mean?

What about the Republican State senator in Florida who got caught on tape?

In a private gathering during last month’s Republican Party of Florida quarterly meeting, state Rep. Janet Adkins told a group of North Florida GOP activists that the key to defeating Corrine Brown, a black Jacksonville Democrat, is boosting the number of black prisoners in her district.

“You draw [Brown's seat] in such a fashion so perhaps, a majority, or maybe not a majority, but a number of them will live in the prisons, thereby not being able to vote,” said Adkins, a Nassau County Republican, referring to black residents.

Those comments came during a closed-door meeting of the North Florida Republican caucus. POLITICO Florida obtained audio of her comments.

She called it the “perfect storm” for being able to defeat Brown, a liberal firebrand who has been in Congress for 23 years. Republican lawmaker says inmates key to defeating Corrine Brown

"The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.[1] It expresses the principle of federalism, which undergirds the entire plan of the original Constitution, by stating that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by the Constitution. All remaining powers are reserved for the states or the people. In drafting this amendment, its framers had two purposes in mind: first, as a necessary rule of construction; and second, as a reaffirmation of the nature of the federal system.[2]"

This isnt about blacks its just a coincidence that we closed down the offices only in black areas. What we really want to do is make it harder for Democrats! See? Its not racist!
So democrats are to stupid to get an id? Glad you finally admitted it.

No they are extra smart and that is why they didnt do the same thing in white areas because whites are too stupid you see!
