I was thinking not of poster's definitions but of a more scholarly type, perhaps how most economists define socialism.

I have defined the Democrat Party version of Socialism. No one on the left here at USMB will touch it. Too scared.

Your idea of capitalism is selling out American businesses to south Asia and making shit for pennies. People like you wish to sweep the success of the 1940s through 70s under a rug as it shows the success of social-democracy in making a powerful nation that also makes a large percentage of its people wealthy enough to have a good life.

Did the Romans collect taxes for construction of roads, walls and their military? You see social-democracy is the norm in civilization. Name a nation that has over 20,000 dollar per capita income for its people that isn't a social-democracy??? If you can't then explain to me why we should have a unregulated economy, where the same corporations that screw up the environment of china and india are allowed to run wild.

Define the standard for determining if a political party should be rightly described as socialist, and then everyone can decide whether or not the Democratic Party fits that definition.

You said last week you'd define it but you pussied out. The Dim Party is now socialist. Case closed.
