Make having a semi-auto weapon a death penalty offense even if not used in anger.
The only gun I own is a Marlin 30-30 lever action which only holds five bullets with one in the chamber. I only keep two bullets in it because I don't want the spring to lose tension since it is never used but available for home protection. I have no bullet in the chamber because when an intruder hears the lever action he better run away before I pull the trigger.
