Jake, I'm from Michigan. I'm very proud of the reaction of the student body for this display of unity. That's presumptuous of me, I know, since it is taking credit for something I did not participate in, but I'm still proud. The threat to set a student afire is a serious one and the bulk of the school made it clear the threat will not be tolerated. Go Blue!Good on the faculty and students and worshipers who understand what America is all about.

The display of prayer shown on campus is a demonstration by Muslims of their defiance to the bias against them, and the circle of protesters around them is student statement that they are ready to protect their right. But the original threat was not about public displays of prayer, it was about a girl's dress.
