They could have let McCabe exhaust the appeals process. Even death row inmates have that right. This really stinks. Friday night massacre. McCabe was due to retire on Sunday, March 18. They're trying to discredit his testimony as a fact witness in the Mueller investigation regarding the Comey firing. Trump has his fingerprints all over this vindictive atrocity.

McCabe responded to the firing in a lengthy statement.

“The investigation by the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) has to be understood in the context of the attacks on my credibility,” McCabe wrote.

He continued:

The investigation flows from my attempt to explain the FBI’s involvement and my supervision of investigations involving Hillary Clinton. I was being portrayed in the media over and over as a political partisan, accused of closing down investigations under political pressure. The FBI was portrayed as caving under that pressure, and making decisions for political rather than law enforcement purposes. Nothing was further from the truth. In fact, this entire investigation stems from my efforts, fully authorized under FBI rules, to set the record straight on behalf of the Bureau, and to make clear that we were continuing an investigation that people in DOJ opposed.​

I have to tell you, this is a sad though. Hearing all that went on with Obamas team and their abuses, and the number of high ranking reps they roped in and in many ways coerced and corrupted actually scares me, I tell you why.

As corny as it sounds, just as Rubio, Cruz and others who have family who have left oppressive nations, the one faith I and so many others always hold is that America is "not like these places". You truly are that Beacon of Light on the Hilltop. So I felt queasy hearing all the allegations of abuse by Obamas team, and I thought to myself "there is no way that America goes down this road". As someone who has suffered greatly at the hands of my government and security police state, I know how a lack of accountability destroys a nation.

It reminded me SO much of Canadian abuses, the RCMP and their surrogates in Canada are horrifically full of shyte (another lawsuit just released today by an RCMP operative saying just this, that the RCMP systemically lie, abuse and manipulate evidence. Scary! right? Once again a strong internal officer taking a stand on principle), and I was seeing this going on in America, to some degree.

So, as I've said from the start, the FBI will take of this. I can't say if he is guilty or not, but this came from the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility. This is not political, this is the finds of the FBI, from a most senior agent. If he is guilty of enough to recommend his firing, and some suggesting even potential charges in the future, than I assume they have some extremely legitimate reasons.

Listening to some on CNN talk about this being political is astonishing. There were dozens of FBI and CIA agent sent to prison in the 1980's for working with the Russians, do some believe that bad actors get free passes for life because they were on the straight and narrow for years? People change, people make bad decisions and in this case, I presume the $700K to his wife had a great deal to do with this finding. As a general comment, people lose their lives and good people go to prison if you have bad actors in your agency.

Wait, Trump didn't fire him. This was on the recommendation of the FBI themselves. He even lied to the FBI, his employer! Now the timing is poor if you ask me, if they were going to do it, they should have worked the wheels quicker, this is a bit of "unusual punishment" to do so at such a late juncture. Regardless, it was not Trumps call.
