You still have to pull the trigger to fire each individual bullet with a bump stock. With a machine gun you don't. To equate a firearm equipped with a bump stock to a machine gun is ridiculous.

It was my recollection that Trump wanted bump stocks banned? It was the Obama era that the issue was hotly debated. I haven't done a great deal of research on it but recalled that the ATF at one point at least ruled that bump stocks did not make machine guns out of ordinary firearms.
