Christie says Government shut down is irresponsible

Then he should tell Obama not to shut it down just to get funding for Obamacare which the people overwhelmingly oppose.

Obamacare is already "law" - what part of that don't you and the other Tea Partiers not understand? Supreme Court with conservative majority passed it - or were you asleep at the time?

So, defunding something that is already Constitutionally made into law is the objective of the Tea Party, so, the shutdown will only come if the Republican Party (Boehner) does not have balls to tell Cruz and the other dim wits to take a cruise.

Correct.

It’s been the law for three years now.

Any changes to the ACA needs to be made by Congress alone, having nothing to do with the president or funding the government.

Indeed, Congress needs to do its job – House republicans in particular – and ensure the government if properly funded and able to pay its debts.

Once that responsibility is discharged Congress is at liberty to revisit the ACA.

The GOP is trying to defund a Law that was approved by both houses of Congress, the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court. They are the loser if the Government is shut down. And the weeny John Boner cannot control his own party.....this is very funny...

it was upheld as a TAX, do I need to go fetch you the interview with obama telling, george stephanopolus, to the point of pugnacity that it is NOT a tax? so drop that line, its a loser for you.

next- if you are so damn wound up about the law, then, you should be a) firmly against obama ordering the off. of pers. mgt. to aid congress and their staffers in getting out of their obamacare obligations...right? and b) obama ignoring the bills law in suspending the employer mandate.....its statutory law , right? congress voted on it?c) and the other 18 changes that have been made?

well? :eusa_eh:

The funny, well...it's really not funny, thing is that the Repblicans FULL WELL KNOW that it is THEM that will be shutting down the government. They will be the ones to get the blame and feel the wrath of the American People come November 2014.

They really just want to break Obama by prolonging Obamacare.

If it gets delayed now, that will be the death-blow to it.

Then their next argument after that would be, "He didn't even keep implement it on October 2013"

They're saying "delay for a year" but they really just want to repeal and destroy.

They just lie, and they lie and they lie.

That's what they know how to do. And they do it well.

What is REALLY funny is that YOU know full well, that the HOUSE voted to keep government open.

Keep thinking the way you are sir.

You fools were the same jackasses that swore that Romney was going to win by a landslide.

This was not even a full two years ago, and you're already walking, nay...RUNNING down the EXACT. SAME. PATH. yet again.

How did only listening to and believing the far RW bubble work out for ya?

The calendar is actually shaping up better for Christie than I thought. The dates are tentative and can change but in the past, it's been basically IA, NH, SC and FL to kick off the primaries. FL has shifted back to 3/1 (Super Tuesday) and NC, MO, MI, AZ, and MN have moved up to February.

So it's IA, NH, SC, and in February NC, MO, MI, AZ, MN, and then we're in Super Tuesday where there are a lot of urban population centers.

Christie has basically no chance in IA and SC. He could compete in NH but it's going to be tough.

So in the 2nd month it looks better than it would have in the past. He'll have to basically tread water during the first month.

3/1 (Super Tuesday)

886 Delegates are going to be decided or about one-fifth.

If he survives that...Look the hell out.
3/8 is Ohio which he figures to do well in.
3/15 is ILL which seems to favor a moderate too
4/5 is WI and MD which seem as though it would be his territory
4/26 is 229 Delegates almost all in the NE. He'll win 400 of them.
As Always on June 1 Texas is by itself but there are 153 Delegates of which Christie will win none.
So it should be a very real 2 person race at that point.
Problem for TEA partiers is that the next big haul is 6/7 with 271 of the delegates up for grabs; most from California and 50 from New Jersey. Christie should do well in both if he's still around.

Momentum plays an incredibly important role as well. If you don't make it to the June primaries, you don't get to appear on the ballot. But he can avoid running into a favorite son (Rubio/Bush) in Florida by itself. He'll have some good news on Super Tuesday to offset. Curz really has a harder path.

Christie will get the Dem nomination in 2016.

You heard it here first

Nah, I said it a long time ago. I really do believe he will jump the fence and run.

That is if he can drag his ass over the fence.

What wrath of the American people? Are you trying to tell us that the Republicans have lost your vote?

That the Republicans won't get the vote of Democrats? The wrath of whom?

Because after all the R's were sent to Washington to block Obamacare, to block any raise on the debt ceiling and to block any increase in taxes.

They are fulfilling their campaign promises. You whacko zany lefties can't seem to grasp that they are not on the Hill to make nicey nicey with Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi.

They are the opposition party after all.

You do realize you're conceding to the fact that the GOP is only opposing Obama just because right? You do realize you're saying that it's not based on principle, but just on party right? You do realize you're saying that only Republicans are the ones that are in opposition to Obamacare right?

Basically it's nothing but pure, unadulterated, rabid partisanship that has the GOP in a frenzy against Obamacare right now.

That's what your statement is saying.

You know that right?
