CNN BREAKING: Moderate House Republicans revolt

People really are sick of these 11th hour threats whatever the Republican crisis of the day is.

Bill Maher was saying on his first show this season that Michelle Obama is suggesting that Americans hydrate more, drink more water. The Republicans came out against that. So now it isn't water anymore it's socialism juice.

It isn't really funny, but then again, it really is.

I heard about a Moderate objection to shutting down the government earlier but I wasn't counting on them following through. It's getting real hard to find any fucks to give anymore.

you seriously think that anybody sane enough takes maher for real? he is a hateful leftard loon and for your side he might be a prophet but you look ridiculous citing him in all that awe as if his opinion matters. :cuckoo:
To put it to some perspective for you - it is as if you are citing Sean Hannity, though it is not even fair to him, since he is much more sensible than this unhinged librul :D

Bill Maher wasn't the point of that example. The point is Rs don't have anything productive to do, they are simply anti Obama i.e. The Freaking Party of No.

And America knows it.

Try not to be such a dunce, OK?

They have not been elected by their constituents on a platform of pro obamacare, pro raising the debt ceiling or pro raising taxes.

They are NOT fucking Democrats. Stop expecting them to behave like left wingers.

What part of R's living up to their campaign promises don't you understand?

So where is the moderate revolt?

I've been looking on line and coming up with nada.

They said they were hoping there were enough GOP members like them who were fed up with the tactics of the leadership that they can find enough votes to defeat the first procedural measure, known as the rule.

That would have prevented the House GOP leadership from even bringing their plan up at all. Because the moderate Republicans failed to generate enough support, the broader GOP bill that includes anti-Obamacare provisions will now go to a final vote.

Given the makeup of the GOP caucus, the House Republican moderates needed 17 Republicans to agree to defy their leadership, and be willing to face what will undoubtedly be the wrath of the conservative grassroots.

Hmmm, don't know how many times a certain progressive reminded me that it was the House that held control of the purse strings.

Glad to see them finally taking that responsibility seriously.

Sessions looks scared. He has some doubt and is hoping for a resolution to his problem.

So that means they are unrelenting on their position so we'll never get anywhere?

There is indeed much humor in irony

Reid wants a conference at 11pm. The Dems in the Rules committee are giving the Repubs a little hell right now. This is shameful.

Could not agree more.

Shame on the Dems for not agreeing to a one year delay, same as the Executive granted big business.

Not seeing a huge problem here. Obama lead the way after all, even though its debatable he had the authority to do so.

It doesn't matter what you believe, we'll see what the consequences will be to one group of extremists in the House.

The senate will not say yes to Boner.

Repubs are playing with fire & you know what happens to those who play w/ fire :eusa_drool:

Because Republicans don't want to give into Obama the bully? Please tell us what happens when they "play with fire?" Please..please...please..please tell us!! :eusa_whistle:
