Some of us don't need the laws or rules to tell us this sort of thing. As sex-positive as I am, living here I certainly don't need someone to tell me putting my arm affectionately around someone is inappropriate. We don't have that kind of culture. We've effectively made affection, sex, and love something to be avoided. And violence, war, and patriotism into good things.

Watching old tv as I do I'm constantly finding my eye drawn to people when they touch musing, "You don't see that any more." It is why I believe women should be more equal regarding pay purposes and simply bear true witness to us when it is our turn to use them.

What jobs do women and men do where the pay is unequal?

None!

But if there are, there is a decades-old law that prohibits this type of disparate treatment and a horde of lawyers chomping at the bit to take each case to court on a contingency fee basis. In other words, no problem but if there is there is a readily available remedy.

Actually these cases are easy to prove so that the near-absence of litigation proves there is no serious problem.

By the way, how many cases has the Obama administration filed against employers for unequal pay violations? Hundreds? Dozens? One? None?
