Democrats let out a sigh of relief

We were so close to getting stuck with Bernie Sanders

Joe Biden was on the ropes. Finishing fourth in early primaries. Pundits were urging him to drop out if he doesn’t pull out S Carolina.

Bernie Sanders was running a Trump campaign. Keep your loyal core of 25 percent support while your dozen opponents fight over 75 percent of the remaining vote.

But while Republicans were greedy in 2016 and refused to take one for the team, Democrats convinced marginal candidates to drop out. This forced Sanders to run one on one against Biden.

Looking at the results tonight, it looks like a Biden landslide.

Yeah.....that's right

The DemRats let out a sigh of relief , exactly the same way they did in 2016, when they screw Bernie that time.

Yes, they (the rats) are doing it again.
You are so misinformed. The DNC changed the rules this year and Bernie was all in. Its all about votes you dunce.

The whole country has let out a sigh of relief; Democrats will nominate someone clearly capable of defeating Trump.
And the Fat Donnie crew is really shookin' up 'bout it.

If it comes down to Biden, the most important task for Joe will be picking a VP that is smart and could handle the job of President if need be. None of this "balancing the ticket by selecting a woman or someone from a state with many delegates. This time, we should be evaluating the VP as much as the POTUS.
Biden will be a one term President

Who he picks for VP will be critical.

Here's my Veep wish list for Uncle Joe

Michelle Obama, Stacy Abrams, or Kamala Harris

Unfortunately we won't get Michelle.

Stacy or Kamala would be good.

I would just love to see Kamala debate pence. She would shred him in seconds. I would be cheering her on.

Joe doesn't have problems generating female or black turnout. So, what would these add to the ticket?

Setting aside that Michelle has repeatedly indicated she'll never run for public office. Setting further aside that 2016 pretty conclusively demonstrated a misogynistic streak so broad and deep as to, for the time being, preclude a female president. Setting further aside that racists and misogynists would be coalescing to prevent a black woman being one more aneurysm away from the presidency.

On the other hand, Joe does seem to have some problems with Latinos and younger voters as well as the core of the Bernie crowd. I'd expect his VP choice to address that.

Though I don't think she's do it, never say never to a Biden/ Michelle ticket. Michelle and Jill Biden are very close and Jill might be very persuasive. Also, Sasha and Malia are of age and off to college.

That said, the chances are 10% or less. I don't think Michelle cares much for politics, as great as she would be. But yes, both Kamala and Stacey are incredible speakers and debaters. I'd be happy as hell with either one.

This is the year to think only of who would be a good president, not balancing the ticket or getting into genders. Forget about women just to get the female vote, forget about getting someone who comes from a delegate rich state...we need someone who can step into the presidency and be equipped to handle the job.

I think Pence could handle the presidency if called upon. Can the Democrats find a good replacement of need for their pick for POTUS?

Bernie beats Don. Biden loses to Don.

Your gig is up. You are a republican and we all know it.
Bernie would NOT have beaten The Don.... he didn't stand a prayer..... Trump n Team would have come down so hard on him with made up bull shit, that he would not have been able to overcome... he's a communist, loves Castro, he's a Socialist..wants to turn us in to Venezuela, went to Russia on his honeymoon, wants to triple your taxes, wants to take your private healthcare away from you, had a heart attack, he bashes milionaires while being a millionaire, owns three homes, never accomplished anything while a Senator.... you name it, it would have been thrown at him by the Trumpsters.

And with a prayer, maybe maybe maybe, Biden has a shot at beating Trump.... though still a long shot.

Citizens, real live individual voters in mass....chose Biden over Sanders.... You can call them the establishment, but in reality, they are simply real, live people, every day, citizens.
Bernie beats Don every time, but your analysis is very establishmentarian. Stop believing the establishment. They lie.

Biden loses every time. If you think Don would be hard on Bernie, triple that for sniffy Joe.

Sorry, Bernie would have lost in a landslide and been a huge drag down ballot. No Senate and may have lost the House.
That is why Democratic leadership stepped in and forced marginal candidates to leave the race prior to Super Tuesday

Bernie would have destroyed the ticket.

Personally, I was hoping that Bernie would do better and be the presidential nominee and have to debate Trump one on one. Because I wanted to see Bernie's wacko commie ideas exposed and destroyed by Trump.

But the Biden landslide proves the Democrat's have realized how far their party has gone into the land of the looney left, and they needed to adjust course to a more middle of the road agenda. ...
All Republicans along with Putin wanted to see Sanders as the Democratic nominee

He would be the easiest Democrat for Trump to beat.

That is why Democrat’s have let out a sigh of relief.

You are spot on. Bernie has a loyal base of commie/socialist, but has never had broad appeal, and he would have been destroyed in the general election. That’s why I voted for Sanders in the primary.

You make some fair points, however Kamala, Michelle and Abrams might address a weakness for Joe. Enthusiasm with young voters.

Bernie has that - Joe does not. But I'd be open to a younger Hispanic woman. New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for instance.

Val Demings would also be a great choice.

Pence is more stable than Trump. Few aren’t.

Doesn’t make him a good pick.

Okay, fair enough. However, gender and youth are important factors if we're gonna get younger voters to turn out. Bernie had better be more graceful than he was in 2016 when he turned into a grumpy old man. His supporters are extremely important.

ROFLMFAO

Then, according to your logic,
it would have been anyone's landslide
and any one of them could beat Trump

Biden needed the top 3 candidates, minus Bernie, to drop out

They manipulated the race in favor of the candidate
who otherwise, was receiving the least support from voters

Do you not see how fucking stupid that is?

You mentioned how the Republicans were greedy
and didn't take one for the team....

Trump not only won but, he received more votes
and won more states then both John and Mitt

If Biden was receiving the least majority of votes
out of all the candidates, what does that tell you?
Better yet, what are the voters telling you?

How did Biden win 6 delegates in Iowa
with less than 15% of the votes?...same for Amy, 1...how?

The Democratic leadership has determined that...
A woman nor a homosexual can beat Trump
but the candidate with the most baggage
and least voter support can?!

Here's the thing...Whether or not Trump is re elected
depends on what God has already planned

/——/ Breaking: Bernie drops out at 1 pm today?????

When all of those running for POTUS is in their 70's, start concentrating on those that would make good VP's. That is a stressful job.
