Zone1 Do most Jews believe they killed Jesus?

today, the Jewish people have just suffered being massacred and slaughtered to the number of 6 - 8 million Jews.

this was about 70 years ago, not even a single generation has passed since this happened, there is no accurate way to determine what Jews think about Jesus in real perspective, the Jews today will keep silent, agree perfectly with the Trinitarian Translations of their Old Testament and even produce translations to batch and match up with these translations,

ones survival from mass terrorism, butchery, slaughter and extermination can be a very manipulated situation.

Most Jews are taught nothing about Jesus. They need to keep their own people in the dark about him to prevent conversions.

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying: Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin. And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger, as the home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death. ... And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses. - Leviticus 24: 15-23

If there be found in the midst of thee, within any of thy gates which the Lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that doeth that which is evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing His covenant, and hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have commanded not; and it be told thee, and thou hear it, then shalt thou inquire diligently, and, behold, if it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, who have done this evil thing, unto thy gates, even the man or the woman; and thou shalt stone them with stones, that they die. - Deuteronomy 17:2-5

Stephen died ca. 34 CE; Jesus died ca. 33 CE. They were contemporaries.
if you reread the Stephen account-----there was no actual trial and the killing of Stephen seems
more like an attack by a MOB than an actual execution. The rules regarding execution were a
lot more ORGANIZED----further---the Sanhedrin DID NOT MEET IN THE RUINS OF THE TEMPLE

The NT told the truth about the Jews, that most ignored their own scriptures and rejected the messiah that was prophesied.

Ever since then Jews have been lying to themselves and reinventing their religion. Today most Jews claim the messiah will just be a political figure which completely contradicts their own scriptures.
No, the NT lied about the Jews - and antisemites use it as “proof” about how awful Jews are.

In the meantime, it has been Christians who have persecuted, expelled, and murdered Jews by the millions - all thanks to some writings that blamed all Jews, for all time, for the death of ONE man.

If you knew anything about the Messiah in Jewish law, you would know that Jesus did not fit the bill.

it is true that most jews are not TAUGHT about Jesus in Jewish educational systems, but
it is impossible to be "in the dark" in the face of INCESSANT efforts by intrusive and insistent
christian proselytizers------THRUOUT THE WORLD-----that includes in Israel

read Constantine's version of events AGAIN-----in fact the Sanhedrin acquitted him even in that
perverted anthology of unverified writings. I am not even sure of that Barabbas story in which
the minions of the mass murdering War Lord, Constantine CLAIM that the jews had a "right'
to save ONE victim of Roman filth. Got anything to verify that idiot claim?
^^ nonsense. Whenever confronted on your lies you just claim it didn’t happen or there is an alternate version of history.

Oh please. You think Jews haven’t been banged over the head with “news” about Jesus? The Jews for Jesus and a major missionary church near me have their “conversion campaigns” - and they fail miserably.

Jesus was not the Messiah. He does not fit the description, not least of which is that the Messiah will be a mortal man - and not a deity.

oh----nor corroborating evidence----the WHOLE WORLD was unconscious of the mass
murder by crucifixion of TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PHARISEE JEWS by the Romans. gee----
how odd

LOL, he “does not fit the description”.

So according to you, a mere “mortal man” is going to end all sin (Daniel 9:24), will be given authority and sovereign power and people of all nations will serve him (Daniel 7:13)?
And a mere mortal man will bring about a New Covenant(Jer 31:31-34)?

This thread is funny, “Do Jews believe they killed Jesus?”

It‘s full of very angry Jews who claim that Jews did not have Jesus killed when they captured him, beat him, found him guilty of their crimes, and delivered him to the Romans so they could kill him.

Then the Jews on this thread go on to say Jesus was not the messiah, thus agreeing with the Sanhedrin that Jesus was blasphemous, which means if they were around at that time they would had been cheering for Jesus to be executed as well.

The expected messiah of the old testament was a warrior king like David who would vanquish the enemies of the Jews.

He also would be a mortal man and after his arrival, the new temple would be built and there would be no more wars. The Messiah, in accordance with the Jewish description, has not arrived.

Is Daniel 9:24 about Jesus?

Quoting the written bible text when the issues I raised were about Jewish law as informed by both the written and oral texts is not helpful. And Stephen's lifespan has nothing to do with the fact that what he reports, under Jewish law, would have no effect as described.

The mortal man will be heralding Gd’s power to do that. He himself will have no power.

Why must you continue to demonize Jews because they don’t believe what Christians do? I’d prefer you just mind your own business.

Maybe I should start a thread about how Gd is angry that CHRISTIANS are worshipping a mortal man and will banish them all to hell if they don’t change their evil ways. See how YOU like it.

Wrong. This is the Judaism 2.0 version of what they think the messiah will be.

The actual Hebrew Bible predicts the messiah will be:
Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
Will heal the blind, deaf, lame (Isaiah 35:5)
Will be given sovereign power and authority, every nation will serve him. Kingdom will have no end (Daniel 7:13)
Will bring an end to sin (Dan 9:24)
Will defeat death (Job 19:23-27)
He will be silent before his accusers (Psalm 38:12-13)
Will establish a New Covenant (Jer 31:31-34)
