Ignorance is a poor excuse for leadership.

The guy you are propping up to take his place is running around trashing Trump at every turn yet offering no alternatives. Worse, he is taking credit for everything gone right regarding epidemics and pandemics when he was Obama’s VP while running for the hills and denying being a part of it. Is this the leadership supposed to be better than Trump?

The government as a whole has done a poor job, including Trump. Everything has been reactive and nothing has been proactive. Had we started to mass produce test in Jan like other counties we would not be this far behind in testing. Had we went to 3M in Jan and told them of possible coming crisis they could have started to mass produce N-95 mask like they are now.

but none of those things too place because our government wanted to hide how bad it was likely to get

What will you say, if the countries that don't react strongly, (belarus, sweden) have final results not much worse than ours?

What does that have to do with Trump's actions regarding coronavirus? Other than feebly deflecting from it?

It will depend on how they compare to other Nordic countries, not how they compare to us. Totally different situations.

asswipePINO was at least three weeks late on taking action

asswipePINO SHOULD NOT have included a tax break for the very wealthy in the stimulus bill.

WASHINGTON — Early on, the dozen federal officials charged with defending America against the coronavirus gathered day after day in the White House Situation Room, consumed by crises. They grappled with how to evacuate the United States consulate in Wuhan, China, ban Chinese travelers and extract Americans from the Diamond Princess and other cruise ships.

The members of the coronavirus task force typically devoted only five or 10 minutes, often at the end of contentious meetings, to talk about testing, several participants recalled. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, its leaders assured the others, had developed a diagnostic model that would be rolled out quickly as a first step.

But as the deadly virus spread from China with ferocity across the United States between late January and early March, large-scale testing of people who might have been infected did not happen — because of technical flaws, regulatory hurdles, business-as-usual bureaucracies and lack of leadership at multiple levels, according to interviews with more than 50 current and former public health officials, administration officials, senior scientists and company executives.

The result was a lost month, when the world’s richest country — armed with some of the most highly trained scientists and infectious disease specialists — squandered its best chance of containing the virus’s spread. Instead, Americans were left largely blind to the scale of a looming public health catastrophe.

The topic is Trump and leadership on the situation. I am pointing out the alternative. Still relative, not a deflection.

Feel free to post what he has or hasn't done that you feel strongly about.

The biggest relief package in American history, most of which was pork for corporate lobbyists wishes & the Fed won't be trickling down to small biz Gramps

Look up CARES, the sba relief is no more than a loan with more strings than a ball of yarn

This is while we (at least my state) considers all new construction non-essential btw

We can't collect UI either

Meanwhile the local sheriff's throwing us off jobs

Are you open to the possibility that such a comparison will show that the current world wide response is a needless panic?

Trump camp threatens local TV stations over Democratic ad

He could have done some things better.

Right now, it is governors that are really screwing things up.

I've never seen such a crazy group of retards.

Cuomo....New York wants him to run for the presidency so they can replace him. He has killed hundreds of New Yorkers with his inept administration.

The others who have shut their states down totally with no real justification.

That sucks. Construction is a nice outside job. Full of younger people, I would expect.

I can see some people working on a roof near me. I am glad to see them having work.

Your poll does not match the question in your title.

Yes, I appreciate everything he has does to combat the spread of the virus.

It's just that he's done far too little and far too late.

Trump's efforts to downplay and minimize the threat exist independently, not relatively.

Not really. I know too many people in the medical field who do not view it as a "panic".
