Does it bother you that our entire government is based on forcing people via gunpoint

Libertarianism is a philosophy, and most of my libertarian friends on the Board insist the slavers were libertarians.

It is impossible to be Libertarian and a slave owner.

Thank you. I agree. The American Founders who were slavers could not have been libertarians. Neither could the non-slavers among the Founders. Libertarianism is antithetical to the American experience.

I feel it is quite unjust and immoral to force people at gunpoint to follow any agenda, no matter how well intentioned or successful it may or may not be.

What is it you were "forced" to do at gunpoint?

Pay taxes, for one thing. Government enforces every law on the books with guns.

PAY TAXES????????

Are you fucking kidding me???????

Something you have to do in every country in the world???????

Something is wrong with you.

Well if you think being concerned about freedom is anti-American then I don't care for your vision of America.

Those who oppose taxation by We the People in our constitutional republic are mere anarchists and anti-civilization.

Hitler and his corporatist allies murdered the socialist left wing in the Party in 1934.

Everyone can enjoy fascism, no one is exempt from its appeal. Ever hear of The Third Wave Experiment?

Some people love being coerced and ordered around, it's called Slave Mentality.

It's not exclusive to liberals. Conservatives are more prone to accept fascism and being obedient unto the most extreme authority. A great example of this would be Nazi Germany. Liberalism was suppressed because it threatened Hitler's far right agenda.

fascism isn't right-wing. it's left-wing.

Actually, historically, Fascism has always been right-wing. Both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy opposed communism and left-wing ideologies both economic and social, supported strong nationalism, and were reactionary.

Originally, Fascism including both left and right-wing ideologies, but ended up right-wing when they achieved power.

The facts don't agree with your revisionist history.

You’ll find that to be the case with most on the right at USMB.

The ignorant idiocy contrived by the right that fascism is ‘left wing’ isn’t new, of course, but it is remarkable how they attempt to keep this lie alive.

The Government doesn't allow one to just leave.

What kind of link do you want? One showing government officials working for corporations or ones where the same corporation donates to both candidates?

You are talking nonsense. And, yes, you can leave if you want. I will help you, and there will be no rendition involved, promise.

LL, as usual you are making no sense. I feel bad for you that you hate the American way of life, our government, how we do things.

Please read more about our Founders and see if there is something in their lives and sacrifices you can admire.

Then how do you justify taxation?

There are things that we need to do, and someone has to pay for them.

Period.

Me, I like roads. I like clean air, I like clean water, I like knowing if my house catches on fire, I can call someone and they'll put it out, I like that if someone breaks into my house, I can call the cops and catch them.

Frankly, if anyone steals the fruits of my labor, it's parasite investors and bankers.

What is your point? People can still pay for things they need without the threat of force. Private money funds roads via taxation and private companies build roads, why have the violent and greedy middleman?

No nukes, read the thread

Frankly, the greedy middleman is the private company that pays its CEO an 8 figure salary.

And if you didn't have a government doing taxation, people would use the bridge and never pay for it until it collapsed due to lack of maintenance.
