So Public Workers should expect to be compensated for their education and/or experience? You destroy public sector unions, private ones are next. BTW, I went to culinary school in france. Lived there for two years. The french are some of the most miserable and unhappy people you will ever meet. Just about every french student at Le Cordon Bleu had the dream of coming to the states to pursue their careers. For one simple fact. They will never earn a wage even close to what they do here in the states. Particularly in sous chef and executive chef positions.......Socialism is a wonderful thing!

And don't get me started on Norway. I have many family there, my Grandmother is from Bergen Norway. I have a cousin there who is also a pro chef. 13 years experience and an executive chef. She can't afford more than a 450 square foot single flat. She's constantly e-mailing me about any opportunities I can find for her here in the states. If her english ever improves, i'll consider it.......As it is now, she couldn't function in an american kitchen with her english skills.
