Holy crap, this is really happening.

When is Boehner going to show some balls and tell the TeaTards to stick it?

When are REAL Republicans going to take back their party

Actually, that' what is in the process of happening... we're trying to rid ourselves of the RINOS and the Progressive Lite types... you know, the ones the left so adores.

Can't do much? Apparently nothing happens in Washington unless we agree. You fools will never understand that the TEA PARTY represents the silent majority in our country.

If they are the "silent majority", why is the Tea Party's approval ratings are so crappy? The best they have done in recent polls is having 31% approval and 54% disapproval. In other polls they have done much worse.
Politics

Simple, when the other side controls the media, they control the message.

Ok, sure. Are you aware that exit polls showed the largest voting group were moderates? Both the Washington Post and Fox News showed 25% od the voters were liberals, conservatives were at 35% and moderates at 41%. That damn liberal press!

One party rule is usually a disaster.

There is no one to tell them no. They do as they wish and the hell with the consequences.

Sounds like what most here want. Repubs andd dems are basically the same and there is no room for a TEA PARTY voice.

Actually, there is!!

The problem is that the Tea party and the moderates Repubs are not well matched. The GOP should split because of their "differences"

That does not mean they will not work together in the future, just that they will not dictate how the other should approach national issues.

I won't say "most"

the leftard mouthpieces - yes.

others are either a bit confused or realize perfectly well the dangers of that outcome.

As it looks right now the three party reality is in the making.

Democrats would never lose another election for Senate, Governor or President

:eusa_whistle:

Actually, the Dems will run wild and free for a couple of election cycles, then it will become the Democrat turn to split.

There are moderates in the Dem party that are tired of marching to the leftist tune as well, but it is the right that the political problem is currently most pronounced.

Fear of a Democratic/Republican victory is slowly turning into the same thing--add in the fact that one of them is going to win tends to make voting pointless!

they did not SHOW anything except that 25% IDENTIFIED themselves as liberals or conservatives or whatever.

NOBODY clearly DEFINED what every specific category means.

Until we have the definitions, any poll is useless.

The Democrats unite in fear of the monster that has consumed the Republican Party

No--the moderates are caving, and the Tea Party repubs are positioning themselves for the next cycles.

Democrats won the political battle(just by saying no), but something very strange has happened with the Republicans.

What happened to the TeaTards?

Boehner is throwing them under the bus and bringing the Senate bill up for a vote

Where is Ted Cruz now?

That will probably be when the "real" Democrats take back their party from the commies.:)

Who has been shown the door? Give me names.

Come on. You made a blanket statement. Back it up.

Cruz is not going to block the proceedures going forward. His 15 minutes are over. He is now demoted to Palin status. Expect the book to be out next year.

.

In 2010 we saw the emergence of the Tea Party and its strong influence in specific geographic areas which led to a ton of congressional victories. It was interesting to see, and a few people wondered out loud whether it was possible for the Tea Party and the GOP to co-exist. At that point, the two were essentially separate.

By 2012 the Tea Party had essentially been folded into the GOP, and an uneasy relationship had developed between the Tea Party, the "establishment" Republicans, and the existing Republican office-holders who moved toward the Tea Party. The electoral results were mixed, at best. At that time we wondered which group was going to win control of the party.

The "final battle" always seemed down the road, in the future, something for guessing and predictions. Some wondered out loud if the party would literally split apart, and that theory, as I recall, was usually rejected by conservatives out of hand. Their thought appeared to be that one side would "win", and that the other side would somehow capitulate.

Well gang, here we are. This party is dividing before our eyes, with open revolt against Boehner; Republicans are attacking each other with the same energy they use on Democrats; no one is capitulating; and the Dems are smiling to themselves. Every headline is "Boehner doesn't have the votes", and I'm hearing more and more that he'll have to bow down before Nancy Pelosi before this thing is over.

This party really may be splitting up. Right now, before our eyes. No more theory.

Any guesses as to what the next five years holds for this party?

.

Defeat after defeat after defeat. Most Americans (and more every day) now see that the Tbaggers bring absolutely nothing to the table needed to run a country like ours. Nothing. They gotta go. Or at least be so marginalized that they can't continue to do so much harm.

The conservative/libertarian wing of the GOP grows stronger every day.

Any reasonable person can see that victory is close.

They're not going away.

No, we'll simply send the neocons back to the democrats. It's where they came from and where they should return.

The fact that the left hates and fears a bunch of ordinary people who carry around a copy of the Constitution is indicative of the hostile political climate fostered by the gigantic left wing propaganda sources which have emerges since the Hussein administration.

I wish Palin would carry around a copy of the Constitution. Then, maybe she would quit saying that the Constitution gives the House sole authority for initiating spending bills...

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

Perhaps you should check your copy.

No, crack, I do not need to check my copy, because, unlike you, I have read the Constitution. I would ask you to show me where the Constitution gives the House the sole auithority to initiate sepending bills, but that would be silly, because I KNOW THAT IT SAYS NO SUCH THING! The House has interpreted that they have the sole authiority to initiate these bills, but NOWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION IS THAT AUTHORITY GIVEN TO THE HOUSE. In order to enforce this usurption, they simply refuse to CONSIDER an apprropriation bills initiated by the senate.

Feel free to admit that you did not know this anytime you have the time to actualy read the document.....
