We've already seen half a doubling, and we got a 1.0C increase from that.

That puts TCS at 2.0C/doubling.

But TCS (transient climate sensitivity) is significantly less than ECS (equilibrium climate sensitivity). There's still a lot more warming baked-in from the CO2 already out there.

So, ECS has to be bigger. The 3.0C/doubling predicted by the models looks to be right on.
