I suggest it means a rare occurrence is standard, which is a trait of normality.

'Normality' is an ambiguous term. There is nothing normal about homosexuality. It's and outlier on the bell curve therefore, it is only normal as an outlier. You can't take an outlier and claim it's part of the normal distribution when it is normal in the outliers. You are dishonestly claiming 'normal' means something YOU want it to mean.

I do not know enough to say, but it can NOT be proven either way.
We do NOT understand what genes do what, nearly that well, and most genes have dozens if not hundreds of effects and implications.
And again, we have no sexual orientation until puberty, in which case there is plenty of opportunity to be affected by external hormones, like pesticides.
