Joe Biden has the Democratic nomination in the bag

Trump vs Biden

My money is on sanders....he is pulling in big donations and crowds. Trump could easily lose in 2020 but the last thing we need is Biden, Clinton, and Obama back in power and with Joe that's what you get.

According to the pols Biden is the front runner. Sanders will make noise, but him winning over moderate democrats to win the nomination is inconceivable

I don't trust the polling. Biden cannot rally the youth vote like Sanders and that is the key to winning. BUT once Biden runs lets see how his fundraising and rallies go.
Trump calls it for Biden

“Looks to me like it’s going to be SleepyCreepy Joe over Crazy Bernie. Everyone else is fading fast!”
~ President Donald J. Trump

The rest of the Democratic candidates running for president are far too crazy for consideration. Now don’t misconstrue my words for support for Biden. He’s crazy in his own right, but his opposition is Harris, Warren, Sanders are all certifiable lunatics.

So anyway, that begs the question - Trump vs. Biden who wins?
Joe Biden Is a Cry for Help. “Remember, Biden was supposed to be the safe, sane option for the Democrats in this election.”

He's always been really weird and never was he an effective Presidential candidate. He's run 4 times and never won a single primary or caucus.

He would do something disturbingly weird like grope a biker chick and Fake News would just gloss over the fact that he was one heartbeat away from the presidency and just say, “Well, that’s just Joe.”

His odd behavior is disturbing. He’s a creep who shouldn’t be in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth.

He has gotten progressively more bizarre offering hemorrhages of odd syntax, nonsequiturs, and virtually nothing that indicates he made it past the third grade. On Sunday, Crazy Joe the Wonder Veep had perhaps his weirdest word-barf yet, calling a woman at a campaign event a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier.”

This guy doesn’t need any more public campaign events, he needs a sedative and a full-time nurse.

Remember, Biden was supposed to be the safe, sane option for the Democrats in this election.

He’s the guy who dropped an f-bomb on a hot mic while standing next to the president. He has the impulse-control of an ADHD-riddled 14-year-old boy.

Biden’s now is a loud cry for help. Put the man out of our collective misery and run him out of this primary race ahead of schedule.

What's going on with his loved ones. Are they not embarrassed and concerned enough to talk him into leaving the race? Who lets someone they care about continually make a fool of himself in front of the entire country? Is his wife so power-hungry that she’s willing to let her husband be a punchline in the hopes that she can order some White House china?

Meanwhile, in the "How's That Working Out, Democrats?" Dept.

Voters in the populous, heavily Republican suburbs west of Milwaukee did not entirely embrace Donald Trump in 2016. But in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, after the impeachment trial, Republicans are rallying around the president. https://nyti.ms/375MlOl

Quid Pro Joe ?
I wouldn't jump the gun on calling this one in.

Trump's gonna beat whoever runs, and I believe it will be Sanders.

The super delegates will make Sleepy Joe the nominee. If they run Bernie or Buttigieg they’re conceding the election.

The sad part is that the question was not harsh at all - it is on the minds of everyone even thinking about Biden as a viable option. His ENTIRE election bid is around electability - that is a very hard argument to make when you are losing so badly in the first 2 primary states.

He is still the only viable option out there though.
But Joe Biden is not a viable option and never was. He was a piss poor candidate in 1988 and again in 2008 and if he had not been Obama's VP, no one would have taken him seriously this time around. The Democrats would have been much better off if he had stayed home.

Agree...

In my repulsed view of the whole progressive movement, I don't see Joe going very much farther... 2016 was the year of the Woman... Bill's wife failed miserably and the DNC has been scrambling every since... IMHO 2020 is the year of the alphabet people... If they let or fix the Super Delegates in favor of Mayor Pete, bingo bango another box checked for inclusivity... If Mayor Pete would start identifying as a Hispanic he would be a shoo in...

History only confirms that most POTUS's are good for 2 terms... Present day POTUS has shown that he is quite capable of another 4 years...

I would agree except that viability only means anything at all in the context of the other options.

As bad of a politician as Biden is - and he is a terrible politician - his opposition is far worse.

The biggest crowd Sanders was able to dig up was 3,000. He can't win with that.

The Washington Post’s report about Democratic fears regarding a Trump reelection in November was stark:

Anxiety is coursing through the Democratic Party as President Trump emerges from his impeachment proceedings as a potent threat for reelection, with party leaders and activists uncertain about how to beat the incumbent and worried about a nominating race that remains crowded and is growing more acrimonious.

Trump’s acquittal and improving approval ratings have generated convulsions of angst among Democrats, who watched their first-in-the-nation Iowa presidential caucuses conclude in a chaotic fiasco and deliver an inconclusive result. Many in the party are now sounding the alarm that denying Trump a second term could be far more difficult than they had calculated.
