Reagan passed his tax reform by working with Democrats not using reconciliation. Paul Ryan said he could get the rate down to 28% with the business tax breaks that had been removed. He got it to 21% by raising taxes on individuals. Also the tax bill was about getting even with red states by limiting SALT deductions. If you have a large family, the loss of the individual deduction becomes a backdoor tax increase. Also special tax deductions for the rich remain. The carried interest deduction should be removed. The passthrough rate will benefit the rich and the new tax break for real estate interests should also be ended.

Companies are not using their savings to raise people's pay or hire more people. They are using it for stock buybacks and other things which benefit the rich who own stocks.

I also believe in protecting the environment. Obama went too far to the left but Trump is going too far to the right by making life easier for polluters. And giving coal people control of the EPA is outrageous.
