They think the same court that voted 7-2 to uphold Obamacare, would vote 6-3 to overturn the 2020 election.

It's an interesting question, what would happen if the SC just decided, against all law, precedent, reason and morality, that Trump was somehow president again.

My best guess is they'd just be ignored. The SC is not an all-powerful dictatorship. They can not, for example, rule to dissolve the government and install themselves as eternal evil overlords, so likewise they can't just simply will Trump back into office.

The system failed Jan 6th when Congress know 40% of voters wanted an investigation into fraud. Whether they thought it happened or not, it was their responsibility. They violated their oath of office to their eternal shame.

But that would be purely symbolic, since congress already counted the EC votes and declared a winner.

The court would then have to order Congress to write an amendment to the constitution which would alter the January 20th deadline. And have 3/4ths of the states ratify it. The amendment would have to give congress the power to "fix" a fraudulent election discovered after the usual deadline.,
