The state of public education in this country has been on a consistent downward spiral since the feds got involved. We didn't have religious wackos before the feds and wouldn't have them with them gone.

Also I wouldn't knock the religious folks when it comes to education, I my 6 siblings and my 3 children attended Catholic schools through grade 8 and were all light years ahead of our public school counterparts upon entering high school. The religious teaching was maybe 1/2 hour a day and considering how little I learned about Catholicism it wasn't pushed very hard.

Not gonna happen. Although i'm not completely opposed to it. We definitely need revolutionary change in our education system. Government-run Schools are a real mess. Democrat Teacher Unions have viciously fought against every possible innovation.

The Democrats don't serve the kids' best interests. They only serve their own interests at this point. Parents desperately need viable alternatives. It is time for change. Hopefully, Betsy DeVos will be successful in delivering that change.

I've often wondered why we let this to continue to happen. Wasn't the unionization of government employees done with an EO signed by Kennedy? Why can't this EO simply be reversed? Because nobody has had the balls to do it?

Teacher's unions represent teachers. Do you think the teamster's union really cares about what type of fuel mileage their trucks get? No. They represent truck drivers.
