Open borders and open trade

Intellectually dishonest idiots: 1

I already conceded, so give me a break. You tools robbed me of my will to fight by shouting over me with retarded nonsensical bullshit.

Please share any economist that thinks tariffs work.

Lol, every economist I have ever read the works of was anti-tariff.

Some think they work in extreme instances, but no economist of any renown has crusaded for protectionism..

Uses concrete examples, NOT theoretical bullshit.
And will answer your emails.

In response to Ian Fletcher

Mr. Fletcher works for an organisation called Coalition for a Prosperous America and their list of supporters is here. Of course, I don’t know who all of those companies and organisations are but I do recognise an occasional name: exactly the sort of producers who are finding times hard as other people in other countries compete with them. So my basic assumption is that Mr. Fletcher advocates tariffs because that is what he is paid to advocate: no opprobrium attaches here for I too have worked as a press officer.

In other words you live in your mother's basement or you don't give a shit about other human beings.
Thanks for conceding.
No log off.

And his book is a 2 day read packed with CONCRETE examples.
You didn't tell us yet if you live off your investments.

A policy of imposing tariffs against imports from China, Japan and Mexico, which as economist Mark J. Perry notes is really a tax on U.S. consumers, would, if “effective,” dramatically reduce U.S. exports to the targeted countries. The study finds, “Even without retaliation, exports to the three countries would fall by 78% as a result of business losses that the three countries would incur as U.S. imports from them declined.”

Upending the world trading system would bring dramatic results, none of them good for Americans. Donald Trump fails to understand that and indeed boasts about how much harm he can do to other countries, while also failing to realize it is Americans who he will harm the most. Doesn’t that make him a dangerous man to hand the power of the presidency?

Hey, dumb ass....as more jobs leave this country, the more the median income of the average American falls which means that they will soon no longer be able to afford even the cheapest of slave labor goods or did that very salient fact escape you? Especially when you take into an account that this fiat currency becomes worth less and less with each passing year?

'Seriously, dude...you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground.

Japan and Germany make quality products and pay their workers well.

Germany has quite a bit of free trade in that EU...

Or I COULD respond that I actually read Neo-Conservative Financial Publications all the time since the early 2000s and I found all of their predictions to be 98% wrong.
So why not give the book 2 days?

Then increase minimum wage. That is guaranteed to increase wages and we keep the cheap stuff. Why tax everyone in hopes wages might possibly go up while creasing costs? If you want to go against the free market to raise wages just increase minimum wage.

EU is highly homogeneous. It's akin to saying that California is free trade... well it is with the rest of the USA. How is that open border policy working for Germany by the way?

Increase minimum wage?
What a silly bandaid to cover up a devious economic policy.

Names????????

I'll start with the most renowned in the world.

Friedrich Hayek, Murray Rothbard, John Keynes, Milton Friedman, and Ludwig Von Mises.
How many decades ago were they relevant?
Milton Friedman masturbated to...Milton Friedman.

Ian Fletcher has never been relevant...
Because he has never been a corporate tool.

Sounds like that is exactly what he is:
Mr. Fletcher works for an organisation called Coalition for a Prosperous America and their list of supporters is here. The coolest thing about non-brain functioning Neo-Cons is that when they have no sensible answer they click the smiley.

What a silly bandaid to cover up a devious economic policy.

And yet it is far less silly than taxing everyone and hoping that will somehow increase wages.

Can we get back to the comical avocation for government market control, IE, protectionism, IE, socialism?

And you just keep speaking nonsense. Share some examples where tariffs have worked.
