The federal government is accepting electors from each state. What if Texas decided to not even have an election at all and just devote all their electors to the Republican candidate. Should they be accepted?

Allowing each state to do whatever they want doesn't make any sense in federal elections because each state is casting their vote to elect a President. Each state has its own laws regarding murder although there are a few cases where murder is a federal crime. Those are cases where the federal government is directly affected(killing a federal judge, killing a person while robbing a bank, someone is killed on federal property, etc.) hence the case for federally mandated voting laws.
