Folks on the left continue to claim that Trump is a cult of personality . . . and yet, when you go to his website, you can clearly see, what he stands for, and what he plans to do. . .

You're right, the main draw to Harris is that he is not Trump but, at least for me, that is more than enough. As a bonus, I do believe she'll keep Obamacare, SS, and the other social programs. She will also be pro-choice and not destroy our government by firing government experts if they don't toe a political line and replacing them with political appointees who will.
IMHO, the Trump MAGAs qualify as a cult because they still believe the promises and lies that Trump tells and ignore reality.

How many times did the GOP try to repeal the ACA? Trump did not touch it only because the could not touch it.

I agree, self-interest is the domain of the GOP.I couldn’t care less if it is repealed. It is unaffordable for those that have some income but no health insurance because they are subsidizing those that have very little income that have ACA insurance. Those people should be on Medicaid. The interest on student loans was setup by Obama to subsidize the ACA. If Democrats continue to relieve people of their responsibility to pay off loans that they took, where is the money from ACA going to come from? You guessed it, even higher taxes for those of us that pay. The problem is, the poorest and the richest, which is a large demographic of the Democratic Party, aren’t affected by higher taxes. It is the middle-class all the way up to the top 2% suckers that vote Democrat that are voting against their own self-interest.
Yet it was the GOP that voted against it because Trump wanted it as a campaign issue and didn't care if it was good or bad for the country.And some of us also remember that bill was ladened with pork and also allowed x number of illegals in before cracking down.
