My cabin is solar powered so I use as little wattage as possible, hence the USB pads instead of 200+ watt blanket. I have an old heat pad which gets way to hot. I also have a USB fan for the same lower battery drain reason. It Has nothing to do with money. An electric blanket cost 6 cents a night to operate!IWhen life give you lemons: as my stock picks posts informed: you could be buying corporate notes and preferreds(debt) at prices so low that they paid over 22%. The secret to success is being the recipient of high interest payments, not the fool who pays high interest on everything thus always paying off the interest and paying 2-4 times more for stuff instead of allowing the people paying you interest to buy your stuff. If you find deals or shop at places that are less inflated then other stores then you can have 4-6 times more buying power then those who don't and always buy on credit that always has a balance. Sometimes it's not about your salary, but how you spend & manage what you make and have.So you are telling people to ruin their credit, become lawless, sabotage the economy and nation, and make future loans and rentals harder to obtain? Either you are a leftist or a Russian sabotager manipulator troll. My advice is to NOT use your stimulus check to pay either rent or a mortgage with. There is a rent strike going on. Join it! Right now because of the coronavirus thing, it is illegal to evict you. Take advantage of it. If either your landlord or bank brings up rent or mortgage, just tell them you are out of work due to the coronavirus thing and can't pay it. I know that the banks got their bailout. So if your landlord brings up your stimulus check, ask them if they got one. If they did, then just tell them that you're squared away then. If they put up more of a fuss, (which they probably will) just tell them to write it off on their taxes.
If you disagree, consider this. I saw somebody on the news a couple days ago who used their stimulus check to pay their rent with. Do you know what they are now? HUNGRY! I say to hell with that! Do you think people should go hungry and deeper in debt, but for landlords and banks it should be business as usual? If you think that, I would have to ask you just how long you have been a sociopath.
There was a sort of similar situation that went on in the housing meltdown of 2008. I remember seeing a congresswoman on TV telling people to not allow themselves to be evicted. But to stay put. And that is my advice to you. Chances are, as it was then, the police won't remove you.
You sound
Fuck credit. Credit = Slavery! Next, the top 1% have 99% of the wealth. That is the law. And I say fuck that law. Also, we live in a capitalist and a socialist country. If we need to be a lot more socialist for a short time, I am all for it. But that is unlikely to happen without bloodshed. It is as Thomas Jefferson once prophesied. "From time to time the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants." You can't have freedom for free. Why will bloodshed likely be necessary? Because the capitalist masters who paid to put their politician puppets into office would never stand for a short time of increased socialism. Not communism, but socialism. Why? Because once having gotten a taste of it, people will never want to go back.

You're awesome!
So post some specifics. Which ones did you buy? When?
My weekend cabin has no heat so I USE a few methods during winter use or cold spring nights.Next, fuck landlords. God damned slumlords is what they are. I would like to see them all dead.
and then from whom would you rent?? It pays to think before you post.
If I had my way, I would prefer to rent from the government. Who would have strict guidelines to follow. As for me, I do rent. Yesterday it was snowing during the day. And I had no heat. Which has happened often enough. The landlord sets the heat for winter. It only comes on when it is about 28 degrees outside. But during fall or spring when things can still be chilly, I'm just screwed. I have to use an electric heater. Which sucks because I also pay for the electric.
The obvious layers of clothes and comforters,
Less obvious is buying a USB 5 small pads electric heat pad used for clothing, but I use it for the bed to keep heat under the blankets and chill off the sheets. USB plug uses 5 watts. The face especially the nose will be the issue, so a winter face mask that coers majority of your nose and a 350 watt infrared portable heater not the 1500 watt placed arms length away is enough to keep you warm.
If you need the larger heat source but worry about electric bills then consider a deep cycle battery powered by a solar panel or report your landlord for conditions that threaten your health if requesting normal conditions doesn't get aaddressev.
Well my being cold apparently has everything to do with money. Heat is supposed to be included in my rent. Wherever the landlord lives, I bet he has his turned on.
