If this woman was attacked by Kavanaugh, I can understand why someone would not make a public deal out of it. There would be no reason to make a public deal out of it. Such attacks occur often and are not newsworthy.

Only if the attacker was about to placed in a position such as the Supreme Court would one then need to go public.
