Now look at these goals and tell me Obama doesn't support them and hasn't taken steps to make them come to fruition:

I do believe they use identity politics in the age old divide and conquer method. It works. I do believe that leftists want a better country, however they define better differently than conservatives do.

Liberals believe in a top down tier of governing. That the government can administer right minded policies, overseeing our well being much like mom and dad. They distribute fairness as we are all equal members of the family.

That stands in stark contrast with conservatives who believe in a bottom up style of governing. We are individuals, each different and should be left free to pursue our ambitions or lack thereof and reap the rewards. Decisions that can be made locally should be made locally. If you don't want men in the ladies room you shouldn't be forced to accommodate men in the ladies room. Period. That's much more what the founders had in mind and it's why conservatives are far more Constitutionally minded.

Some of the righties on this thread are certainly going all-out to dial up the level of hate. Every day, we see a lot hate-threads like this one, with the usual suspects screaming how much they hate the dirty traitor liberals. Look at this thread, with the OP ranting that liberals are hateful simply because they have some policy disagreements, and other conservatives declaring liberals are actively trying to destroy America.

So why are some conservatives pushing hate so hard? Why can't they talk about issues? I think it's because most of the nation disagree with the conservative positions on the issues, and support the liberal positions. Conservatives know that in order to win, they have to deflect discussion away from those issues, and instead appeal to peoples' emotions. Hence, we get all these threads where some righties play the victim and push hate.
