“The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.”

Which is why Democrats always have confidence....
The GOP has been very confident about Obama being born in Kenya, being a Muslim, Romney having it locked up, Loretta Lynch going to jail, Eric Holder going to jail, Obama going to jail, Hillary going to jail, Huma going to jail, some guy named Syd Blumenthal going to jail... am I forgetting anyone?

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." Winston Churchill

{repost) - I have learned one thing from this election, I think it should be obvious to most, the republican party is an empty shadow box. Family values, hawks, free trade, religiosity, faith based, policy positions, and the list goes on, were all slogans, empty words given Trump's positions. Does compassion call another a rapist because they want a better life? Does a religious person condemn another religion? Does a society of immigrants repeat their troubled history with immigration, does a sane person not wonder at our gun deaths? And does a person condemned by all in the most specific ways then get your vote and your support because they wear a similar suit? A man who labeled you ugly, little, weak, called your entire institution crooked now has your blessing. Unreal but telling of the shallowness of many Americans and their political parties.

"There’s a very good reason that this is the case: The American Right has become willfully disengaged from its fellow citizens thanks to a wonderful virtual-reality machine in which conservatives, both elite and grassroots, can believe anything they wish, no matter how at odds it is with reality." Donald Trump, Mainstream Conservative

This reminds me of scientists who understand their subject matter more than most, but are honest about their ignorance & focus on what is unknown ... they always have doubts about the overall state of knowledge.
Unlike the religious & political faithful.

Summed up very well.

Let's go to the beginning

More Mexicans Leaving Than Coming to the U.S.

You know what I'm "goddamned sick and tired" of?

Slack jawed FOXwatching cretins dutifully rebleating what they've been told to think.....

Special Report: Inherent Resolve

Did I make reference to my unbridled contempt of Unrepentant 2 Time Scrub Voting Idiots going on about an imagined inadequacy of the US response to ISIL?

Try again. The right is disengaged from the left because we don't like you. Don't think it's an accident. Don't imagine that the right has been somehow misled. We don't like you. Some of us might hate you. We have decided not to even try to compromise with you.

Get it.

In hindsight, Kerry would have been a better choice than GW. And Gore would have also been a better choice than GW.

Gore may have even been a better choice than Clinton was.

But hindsight is always 20-20.

This applies to you?

Serious Dunning Kruger at display. Trump is an extremely smart individual, and a billionaire. You need to shut the fuck up about things you don't understand.

These are some good questions.

Letting Lehman Brothers and other such Wall Street firms speculate with investments was a major failure. Then letting them become too big to fail was an even bigger mistake. Getting involved at all with their rescue was a third major mistake.

Those have been the most recent failings.

Killing the strongman in Iraq and not partitioning that land into 3 successor states was the last major mistake before it. Now we have simply created a Shia/Sunni conflict where the strong man used to hold things together with his genocides and other atrocities.

Hindsight is always 20-20.

As to whether the USA is going to make another big mistake in November, no matter what happens only 52% will be happy while the other 47% will not. There is always 1% that checks out all together.

Given the choice between Hillary fokking up the US Supreme Court beyond all recognition compared with Trump getting us all killed, I'll go with Hillary on this one as the lesser of two weevils.

Dr. Dre is also a billionaire. Do you think he should run the country?
