You totally miss the point. If this was just one guy proposing this to another then it's different. This is the President of the United States here. If he wanted to release his college records then he would have. Obviously he doesn't. So Trump basically taunts charities all across the nation that could do amazing things with $5 million en route to blackmailing the President of the United States into doing something that he clearly doesn't want to do is incredibly stupid. Beyond stupid.

The fact that the Donald would donate the money to charity doesn't mean shit. That the price is the transcripts, doesn't mean shit. This really isn't any different than Trump asking Obama to stand on his head, or maybe eat a can of cat food. He's basically asking the President of the United States to make a fool out of himself for money.

Envision a cartoon-ish mogul figure, like Mr. Monopoly, walking through an area where homeless people live, waving dollar bills around and asking the poor humiliate themselves for a pittance. That is what comes to my mind when i think about this.
