It's obvious that the plan was to take Congress - or at least the Dem leadership & Pence hostage.

Then Trump was to stroll down from the Whitehouse, play act at negotiating their release under the terms that they agree not to certify the election results - leaving it to one rep from each state to vote for President.

If that had happened, I still doubt it would have worked. Whatever would have happened, Trump would not have been sworn in for a second term until Jan. 21. A lot could have happened in between.
