Somehow asking for increased security at schools is a bad thing. It should be AT THE TAXPAYERS EXPENSE.

It is always at taxpayer expense. That's the only source of school revenues.

Our SRO's make about 18.00/hr plus benefits and we have more applicants than positions.

We get quality volunteers for the cost of training them, providing the firearms, and practice ammo along with regular scenario training in their schools.

You don't have to pay people to protect themselves and their charges, if they are only willing to do so for money you need to find a whole new class of volunteers.

Why would any school district pay more than is necessary to accomplish their security goals? That would be fiscally irresponsible and a breach of fiduciary responsibility.
