Actually the Republicans did not do all that well in the Senate. 10 Senate races were run in states where Trump won and Republicans picked up 2 seats. Many on this board were talking about picking up a filibuster proof Senate. House races are a better indicator of trends as they are run every 2 years where as only a third of the Senate is up for election.
