Why Are Republicans So Relentlessly Cruel to the Poor?

lumping state local and federal into one stat is a dodge. we are and have been talking about federal taxes. Don't want to pay state income taxes or sales taxes then move to one of the states that don't have them
TAXES ARE TAXES, ferchrissake, dumbass dupe. Your propaganda machine is doing the dodging, FOOL.
And don't forget the ridiculously high FEES we've been hit with the last 35 years either. "Must save the rich!"
what fees?

and state fees don't count because not everyone pays the same ones
THEY'RE ALL HIGHER, IDIOT. LOL
Car licensing, BUSINESS licensing, etc etc. WTF is WRONG WITH YOU , dupe? The crap you complain about without thinking about who's at the bottom of it. GOP dupes like YOU. LOLARGHHHHH.
my car registration fees haven't gone up in over 10 years so you see why talking about state fees is a waste of time?
I have paid the same exact business entity since we opened so that hasn't gone up either so do you see why talking state fees is a waste of time?
That really depends on the state. The registration fee for my cars almost doubled this year due to funding of rapid transit and various road improvement programs.

Keep voting for the pander to the rich, screw the nonrich New BS GOP then, dupe.
After 30 years of Voodoo: worst min. wage, work conditions, illegal work safeguards, vacations, work week, college costs, rich/poor gap, upward social mobility, % homeless and in prison EVER, and in the modern world!!

How many times have you copied and pasted this same lie? Other than the fact that you're lazy and have no response for all the FACTS lodged against you, what purpose does this serve? What good are you?
Those are all facts about our Reaganist USA, dupe.

And the next step would of course be 'Extermination.' Y'all do sound like Nazis. Sorry, but you do.

How do you live with yourself with so much hate and bitterness in your heart?

Speaking of Nazi's and your love for Socialism, you must fully embrace this truth.

Instead of an EBT card you can use to buy shit food you restrict it so you can only buy certain foods.

Fine, but it doesn't work. They simply discount the money on the card for cash, then buy what they want.

Go back to requiring them to work, take job training courses, or classes to pass their GED. When done in 1996, it was amazing how many people no longer needed welfare and food stamps. They went back to work.

Slashes to federal taxes get passed down to the states as they have to make up the difference

Specifically, how does that work? Reductions in taxes result in more revenue. Does that get passed down too?

Then why do Republicans claim the poor have too much?

I don't know that any Republican has made that claim. I do know that the so-called poor are not doing too badly, especially against all humanity worldwide. They are fat and happy, have most of the amenities that working households have, some living in the suburbs with utilities paid. But because we say that doesn't mean we think they have too much.
All one has to do is look at Trumpcare

Republicans immediately attacked those who qualified for Medicaid, made employment restriction on Medicaid and slashed taxes on the rich

And why not? Medicaid is the largest expenditures in most states. When we "give" things to groups of people, we place a value on that group. Why is it the left is so hell bent on placing a larger value on people that don't work than those that do?

As a middle-class working man, I'm so sick of hearing about kids that aren't mine that I should be taking care of and the so-called poor. Why is it the poor are considered more valuable to society than I am? I pay my taxes, I give people places to live, I work more than one job, but who gives a shit about me???

I'm sick of it to be honest. And dare a working person lookout for themselves, they are greedy and full of hatred towards the poor.
Medicaid ends suffering. It saves lives

Why do Republicans hate it?

Medicaid is the worst possible program to be on. For one, trying to find providers that accept Medicaid because they (like Medicare) pay less than the cost of care is a challenge within itself. If you do find anybody willing to accept substandard pay, they will likely offer only substandard care.

While non-working get free medical care paid for by us working people, we working people have nothing to care for ourselves. I'm sorry you don't see anything wrong with that, but then again, maybe you never worked for a living. If you ever decide to, and fork over your money to give care to people you can't even afford to give yourself, maybe then you will understand where we working people come from.
Medicaid reimbursements varies a lot by state. Medicaid is a federal matching program, so if the state spends less on Medicaid, the feds pay less and reimbursements are lower and it's harder to see a doctor. In my state, Medicaid reimbursement for most doctors is only about 8% to 10% lower than Medicare so getting to see a doctor that accepts Medicaid is fairly easy.

Some doctors, accept Medicaid patients but string out the appointments because they try to limit the number they see per month. Specialties such as neurosurgeons can take months because there are not many of them in most areas.

A survey done a few years ago showed that New Jersey had the lowest rate of doctors accepting new Medicaid patients, 36%. Nebraska had highest rate, 96%. So finding a doctor to accept Medicaid depends on where you live.

Well it doesn't always work like that. I appreciate how you'd love life to be so simple, but it's not.

Quite true. So when people make bad decisions, how is that my responsibility?
It's not your responsibility but that doesn't mean that their bad choices will not hurt you in one or another. When bad things happen in society we can say not my problem and watch the community slowly fall apart or we can do something even thou it is not our responsibility.

Yeah, when a drunk driver hits you while you're out walking and paralyses you, how is that your responsibility?

When China overtakes the US in terms of education, skills, manufacturing power, how is that your responsibility? Well, you're going to suffer whether it is, or isn't.

By 2010 the poverty rate in the country had dropped from 44.2% in 1991 to 18.5% in 2016.

Please be realistic and take it from say 2000, AFTER the passing of Newt Gingrich's 1996 Welfare Reform Act with the effective provisions being repealed by petulant former President Barack Hussein Obama's failed "Stimulus" plan

How high has the poverty rate in the U.S. been historically?

Historically, the official poverty rate in the United States had ranged from a high of 22.4 percent when it was first estimated for 1959 to a low of 11.1 percent in 1973. Since its initial rapid decline after 1964 with the launch of major War on Poverty programs, the poverty rate has fluctuated between around 11 and 15 percent.

So you believe ANY RW propaganda, even Hitler's? He'd say ANYTHING. At any rate, socialism today is first of all DEMOCRATIC.

Yeah, when a drunk driver hits you while you're out walking and paralyses you, how is that your responsibility?

Did the victim of the drunk driver make bad decisions? No. So I'm not addressing that individual. Grow up.

It's not my responsibility. I take steps to protect myself and then the others fall. You build your community out of like minded folks and keep the others out.

No, they didn't, and yet they still suffered for it.

And yet you're talking about decisions the govt makes, decisions a govt makes which YOU VOTE FOR, so you're far more responsible, and you suffer or benefit from those decisions.

So, just when will the sky fall, Chicken Little? All the people who told me that medicare would fail when I first started my insurance career have been dead for decades.

What do you consider failure?

Is an unfunded liability of $28 TRILLION a roaring success?

Malarkey! I stated, bad decisions made by the individual. You playing ignorant, or maybe you are ignorant, does not further the discussion.
