Why Do You Trump Lovers Hate NATO So Much?

heard that the problem is not enough money being spent on 'nato' by the 'euros' , they supposedly aren't pulling their weight / share .

As is the norm for you, you have heard wrong. The problem is they are not spending a high enough percent of their GDP on their own military. Trump thinks they should spend more on their military.
Like a mob boss demanding "protection" money.

------------------------------------------ maybe , call it as you like , course President Trump may end it all SWitch .

Trump Is Training His Base to Hate NATO and Like Putin

So Trump lovers got their panties all moist this week when they heard news of Trump seriously considering pulling out of NATO -- their general consensus was, "Fuck yea!! let's save that money and give it away in corporate tax cuts or directly to defense contractors!! #MAGA"

Is NATO really that much of a problem in the world? Or is pulling out of NATO more of a way to just feel like you are "owning the libs" on something? It seems that much of whatever Trump lovers support is mainly based on the fact they think it makes "libs" angry -- which is pathetic in itself.

As Trump himself said (from the article) "Sometimes our worst enemies are our so-called friends or allies, right?” At a subsequent rally in Montana last week, the president declared, “Our allies in many cases were worse than our enemies.” He then went on to say about his boo-thang Putin: "Putin is KGB.” (Putin did in fact work in the KGB.) “You know what,” he said, “Putin’s fine. He’s fine. We are all fine, we’re all people.”

Trump claims his opposition to NATO is based on money; but that is not how NATO works. It is not a protection scheme where the allies pay the United States. It is a collective defense organization in which members agree that an attack on one is an attack on all. NATO is the most successful peace-keeping franchise in world history; let's not forget that the norm for Europe before then was wars, wars, and more wars....It was only 20 yrs that separated WW1 from WW2; since NATO -- no more wars breaking out all across Europe; how is that a failure?
NATO just like the UN, WTO, TPP, all have problems. President Trump doesn't just take the PC easy route and play along costing us untold billions while foreign countries benefit. He wants to stop the outflow of money to foreign countries by way of these agreements which benefits America. I realize you think emotionally but it is my hope that was simple enough for you to understand.

Bullshit

Trump is undermining every alliance we have with the world's democracies and cozying up to every despot on the planet

I despise Trump as POTUS.

But I am 100% for pulling out of NATO.

NATO was created to defend against attack from the Soviet Union...which ceased to exist in 1991.
NATO should have been disbanded then.

The EU does NOT need America to defend itself from Russia AT ALL. Russia is a shadow of it's former might (conventionally). And is ZERO threat to conventionally invade Europe.

Great Britain spends more on defense than Russia does. And GB, Germany and France combined spend almost THREE TIMES more than Russia does on defense.

Defense Spending by Country

There is no need WHATSOEVER for America to be in NATO. Or to spend money she does not have to station troops in Europe to defend against a country that will NEVER attack Europe because they would be conventionally obliterated if they did.

Trump is right on this one.

America should pull out of NATO, close her bases in Europe and bring the troops home.

NATO has kept the peace for almost 85 years. Unprecidented in European history

Putin wants to disrupt the NATO alliance and Trump appears to be glad to comply

Putin hates western alliances

That is why he has worked to break up the EU and NATO
Trump has the same views.

Nothing To Do With Trump

NATO Should Have Been Dissolved
With The Fall Of The Soviet Union

NATO's Reason To Exist

Well put. Leaving NATO will save NO money...but WILL embolden Putin

Let me reiterate...there are no DUES for NATO

NONE
How many billions would be saved by closing the bases and telling Europe to pay for their own damned militaries?

Boy would Putin love that

In addition to providing collective defense for its member states, NATO has two other core tasks: crisis management and cooperative security. The organization intervenes in crises around the globe on a scale that no one state has preferred to handle alone. The alliance is engaged in military operations around the world, from Kosovo to Afghanistan, with a renewed commitment to extend the latter operation till 2024. In addition to training Afghan security forces, NATO has committed to a new training mission in Iraq. The alliance also provides a forum for states to work together and teach one another in domains of common interest, such as arms control, counterterrorism and cybersecurity. After Russia’s internationally disputed annexation of Crimea, NATO reprioritized collective defense. The declaration that came out of this year’s NATO summit labels Russia as an aggressor that has undermined the “rules-based world order.”

lotts of these millenials are just scared . Biff is probably one of the SCARED ,

Liberals, in my experience, are fearful folks who need the bodyguard of big government because they are vulnerable, battered emotional hypochondriacs....they need to insure themselves against every societal misadventure that could occur. They call that 'empathy,' but it's actually neurosis. They have some sort of metaphorical bullet lodged near their heart, just waiting for a slight move which will end it all!
Thus, the overwhelming feeling of incipient failure, and apprehension. And, recognizing their own weakness, they lash out at those willing to depend on themselves.

Don't care. The money isn't there. Fire up the chainsaw and start slashing budgets.

NATO is outdated and unreliable.....why Bush allowed Turkey in is still unexplained.....We can not rely on NATO if they happen to disagree with us on an issue because that nation is doing business with our adversary.....Europe places more importance on profit than they did after WW11....
