59% of voters in 1992 didn't want her husband either, but he still became president. Such is life
Clinton, Bill, won the majority vote and the college in 92 and 96.
He did not win a majority of the popular vote in either election. He won a plurality.
However you want to see it, he won more votes than either of the other 2 guys in both elections, and as far as I'm concerned it means he was the most popular.

New York did not vote for their native son. He lost his own state. Trump lost Manhattan to Hillary, she received 87% of the vote. It should make people wonder why New York hates Trump so much.
