Are we better off than we were a year ago ??

Good point. Guess they should just get rid of the kids then.

You’re not really about answers, just blame.

There are answers to every problem, but nobody has the guts to do them.

For instance when you apply for welfare, you should have to be fixed before getting one dime. It won't stop the women who already have kids from collecting, but it would stop people from having kids just to get more benefits.

It’s not. Gas is expensive because global demand skyrocketed this year after a year of dramatically decreased demand.

But remember. If you don’t like what things cost, too bad. Just spend less money. That’s what your message is.

That's a very small part of it. OPEC realizes we elected an anti-energy President. That means they are in the drivers seat because no matter what they do, Dementia won't lift a finger to increase US production, so they are going to keep theirs down so prices do increase. We went from energy independence to energy beggers with our enemies.

And y’all wonder why some of y’all are called fascist.

US producers can increase production. They don’t need Biden’s permission.

Why haven’t they?

No, I’m about personal responsibility. You’re about never holding people responsible for their decisions, and taking money from some people to give to others who made irresponsible decisions.
The amount of things the older generation expects from younger generation is ridiculous.

Go to college to get a good job. But we will define them.

Don’t complain about housing prices which are double.

Don’t demand to make much money. Higher wages increase our costs.

Don’t have kids. Have kids so that we have more labor for future generations.

Don’t expect the government to help. The government needs that money for our medical bills and care attendants.

Save for the future because we screwed up Social Security and it probably won’t be around. Oh and we will crash the economy in 2008. And you’ll have to put up with a other crash in 2020.

The older generation sees that younger generations can't get out of their own way. Younger generations are their own worst enemy.

Gotcha. Buy an hour out of the city. The townhouses are unaffordable either. Daycare is unaffordable and closes before they can get back because they have to drive AN HOUR to get them.

You guys don’t realize how good you had it and act like nothing has changed since the 50s. You’re so out of touch.

In the 50's they had a saying: don't spend what you ain't got.

No. I think our worst enemy is the older generation.

Y’all have hollowed out the country. No investment in the future, just took out what you could and peaced out.

So if we divided up, it solves that problem also for you.
Just saying, that red states have a particular thing for suppressing minority representation.

Maybe if politicians had to worry about broader appeal, we’d have less craziness in politics. It’s a thought.

A year ago the country was locked down from a pandemic and Democracy was under the greatest attack since the Civil War
Democracy is still under attack. trump is a cancer and plans to take our electoral system down. He and the repub party are the greatest danger to our country since the Civil war.

And the second the baby boomer generation got in charge, they unleashed a relentless campaign of increasing government deficits.

Do as I say, not as I do.
"Do as I say, not as I do."

That is the trumpian tag line.

GDP growth below 3% is very weak. The best economy we’ve had in the last 50 years was under Reagan then under Clinton, then under Bush. The ability for us to achieve rapid economic growth is waning.

The military, illegal immigration, drugs. These are not the “economy”. It’s pretty weird that most of your “economic” parameters are irrelevant.

The topic is were we better off a year ago than today, so we are talking more than economics here unless you consider economics the only metric in which to measure if we are better off. Many economists DO consider the Trump years the best in 50 by their standards. We had a million more jobs than Americans to do them. How much more could we have grown?

You have a lot of complaints but no solutions…
Let me ask you this…What would happen to wages, home values / rents, job opportunities, quality of public education, quality of healthcare, social services, crime rates…etc etc if you woke up tomorrow to 20-50 million fewer illegal aliens on our soil?
Can you see why we say you are your own worst enemy?

It is not enough, you would end up with the same sort of problems we have now as there is not enough communality between the needs and wants of and Florida and Maine.

It is about more than "left vs Right" or "dem vs Repub" Even those camps are not uniform in their views. Think of your beloved party now with the Trump worshipers vs the never Trumpers.

Each country would hold elections just as we do now. It would be up to the people to decide how conservative or how Socialist they want their country to go.

We know, you are scared to death of the guy along with your leaders; scared to death Trump will stop your plans to turn our country into a Socialist/ Communist shithole.

So an appeal to authority, based on the vague reference to “many economists”.

How much more could we have grown? Maybe 6%. According to some people.

Maybe if you on the left quit buying into lies like minority oppression because you think blacks are too stupid to get an ID to vote things would be better. But you don't think things out. You only obey and repeat their bullshit.
