The OP is flawed. However, I have long thought being gay was an evolutionary response to over population. Blacks and Asians have the highest populations in the world so one will never know until this is verified.

Sexuality being like a bell curve with very few 100% of either extreme, most falling somewhere in the middle. The 3.4% stat is those who self-identify (operative word) as one of those 3 terms. But the reality is the percentage of those entirely heterosexual is likely about the same. Everyone else is some degree of bisexual. Be it 'the occasional masturbatory fantasy of a gay experience,' 'watching gay pornography often,' 'if I get drunk I"m open to a homosexual experience,' etc.

It's actually very unusual to see "exclusively and always" hetero or homosexuality when the possibilities are so vast for something other than those. And how you define the terms you're givnig to respondants matters a lot as well.

If someone who enjoys gay or lesbian porn "straight?" How "gay" dya have to get before you aren't considered "straight" any longer? Are the 80% of heterosexual-identifying consumers of transsexual porn really heterosexual? Is a viewer and consumer of mixed sex porn (the majority of it) really 100% straight if they enjoy watching other men/women having sex with opposite-sexes?

Human sexuality isn't a binary question.
