Ask a Progressive

Do you understand the difference between 200 part per million and 980,000 parts per million?

Since when was that the increase in CO2?

I can't figure out if you're ignorant or just plain fucking stupid.

Currently, CO2 is about 300 PPM and Warmers are saying that the recent "increase" of 100PPM is causing "ManMade Global Warming"

With me so far?

Yes but I'm not going to believe any of it without a source.

Although a 33% increase in CO2 is pretty significant wouldn't you say.

How's no for an answer? You're talking about numbers that are little more than rounding errors. It's like saying the steam from taking a hot shower puts H2O into the atmosphere and THAT is whats melting the polar ice caps.

If what you're saying is true it should be easily and readily verifiable in a laboratory setting.

I guess I should have asked the Progressive brain trust: Bill Maher, Al Franken and Jon Stewart because with a few exception I'm getting few answers and fewer that make sense.

Can you Progressives post this at DU and KOS and see how you're supposed to respond?

I answered you right away... either have the balls to address my reply point by point or just slink away and stfu.

Ask and ye shall receive

What type of experiment are you talking about?

Why would we need an experiment to verify the Earth is warming when simple measurements would suffice?

And once again you got a source for any of your numbers?

I'm shocked. I don't know what to say. It's like you're sitting in a symphony orchestra and only now discovering the difference between the bass and treble clefs

What numbers would you like verified, Dear?

The ''official story' of warmers being that the Earth C02 is raised 100 ppm. I heard differently but I can't remember where.

Again, we're talking about really truly small numbers here and I'm probably being generous @ 100PPM.

The measurements were in Parts per 10,000 back then so, again, a rounding error is a significant percentage of the total amount of CO2

There are questions I'd like to ask of Progressives and what better place than here:

1. Is government the answer to every problem?
No.

2. Why did Obama run as a fiscal Conservative?
he didn't. why do you lie?

3. If mankind is warming the planet with CO2 how come you can't replicate the results in even a single laboratory experiment?

This is another lie.
why do you lie so much?

4. Are you ever going to address the funding shortfalls in the Federal social programs?

me?
nope.
but i'll bet neither you nor palin nor any republicanis going to do much about it either other than
a. whine and complain a lot
and
b. blame it liberals and dems because you refuse to take ANY RESPOSNSIBILITY fo ryour own acts

5. Is there any Democrat currently in government that is "too far Left"?
yes.
are there any republicans who are "too far right"?

My girlfriend is here, and she's not into politics particularly. We just read a few of the latest posts. Here's the dialogue (paraphrased of course).

Katie: Are there actually people on here claiming global warming doesn't exist?

Kevin: Yep.

Katie: Who?

Kevin: Him [CrusaderFrink].

Katie: Why are people so stupid?

What should I tell her? Blame the schools?

Click your heels together three times and say "My SUV is melting the polar ice caps"

No, I think you missed the point of the dialogue. We didn't need you to prove that you're an idiot, we already know that. We're trying to figure out why.

Probably white folks greed.

Do you guys sit in front of a picture of a fireplace (a real fireplace releases deadly CO2 into the fragile atmosphere) and read from "Earth in the Balance" to each other?

Soooo... Yeah? The schools?

no. and I know of no progressive who has even suggested otherwise

And I've never seen a progressive, leftist, socialist, fabian, marxist suggest anything BUT government solutions.

not just yet. Neither did you all when you ran everything for six years. we'll get to is about as fast as YOU got to it.

That's because both Bushes were big government conservatives of the 'progressive' wing of the Republican party. Not of the Libertarian or conservative wing that is currently showing it's strength through the Tea Party movement. Both Bushes just wanted to grow "Republican Government" which is nothing more than religious progressivism. Same road, just the other side of the street in hell when you get there.

Bush 1 was conservative--Bush 2 NOT.

Because man made Global Warming is a theory.

Global Warming: A Convenient Lie

I find it interesting how the word "Progressive: has become the right wing cranks' newest epithet.

Smell the group-think?

Liberals? National Socialists? Socialists? Progressives? They keep putting up the "Under New Management" signs but it's always the same Marxists and National Socialists running the show

1. Is government the answer to every problem? NO

2. Why did Obama run as a fiscal Conservative? He didn't.

3. If mankind is warming the planet with CO2 how come you can't replicate the results in even a single laboratory experiment? Because there is no laboratory that you can compare to the planet and almost 200 years of industrialization.

4. Are you ever going to address the funding shortfalls in the Federal social programs? The feds do almost every couple of decades. There is no 'magic' formula that once enacted you can leave it in place in perpetuity.

5. Is there any Democrat currently in government that is "too far Left"? Yes.

From a progressive.

PS....I think we're too caught up in labels and don't pay enough attention to the actual policies.
