did david gregory break the law on meet the press holding up that magazine

it is not illegal to touch this mag if the owner is shitting right there.

you people on the right have lost all perspective on everything

Jeezus TM, just shut up already. You are the dumbest poster on these boards and it is beyond me how you can continually expose yourself and not even notice how dumb you REALLY are!

It is illegal for that magazine to be in DC, REGARDLESS of who owns it or where they are sitting, unless you meet the qualifications outlined in the law.

David Gregory FAILED.

You'd have to be a dopey gun owner to even entertain this question.

With all the gunnies out there breaking the law, the wife beaters, drunk drivers, and restraining orders.... your days are numbered. If you possess a gun illegally, then we are going to round them and you up.

Better turn them in now.

Don't know why you choose to lump all those people together and and characterize them as gunnies. I do know you are a hack and have made the mistake of irritating me once too often. Enjoy the benefits.

And why is that funny? Wanting to legislate morality is about as authoritarian as it gets.

It's funny to authoritarians, I guess, because I fail to see the humor.

Because Lapierre is a rabid right winger.

And Legislate Morality is just about all they do.
I love generalizations because it's so easy to show the person what an idiot they are for making them. This boad calls me a rabid rightwinger and I am anti-legislation of morality. Thus my distaste with Obama and Obamacare and his authoritarian bents....like summary executions of US citizens without any judicial review.

Basically this shows you don't have an understanding of what you are talking about.

Obamacare isn't legislating morality. It's about economics.

And Obama never engaged in "summary executions". That would happen after a capture.

Which did not occur.

That claim is obviously false. Why should the ATF even be involved in the matter? It's a D.C. Law, not a federal regulation. It's up to the D.C. police to make such a decision, not the ATF.

They don't get it, why would it be under investigation if the police gave Gregory permission to break the law?

It's obvious they know they got caught red-handed. They've already lost the whole gun control issue because the public sees what a bunch of lying hypocrites they are.

Who's "They"?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln5RD9BhcCo]Rapping Rove - YouTube[/ame]

See the guy next to "Rapping Rove"?

That's David Gregory.

One of yours.

really?

then what about the exceptions in the law which were discussed earlier in the thread you fucking idiot?

certain people were allowed to own them like cops.

pretending this was illegal for DAYS is proof of how insane the right is

He killed, with premeditation, three US citizens without any judicial review.

Now, he will be answering to the courts with the several suits against him based on his violations of US citizens' civil rights. I love the ACLU.

the right of the right is fucking insane.

they will ramble on about nothing but pure lies for days

And your concern for Americans is heart warming.

I am sure you want justice for the USS Liberty and the shooting on a Turkish flagged ship of an American..

Right?

Oh yeah..not a peep.

My concern is for civil rights of US citizens and violations of the Constitution and their civil rights - especially to live, especially by those who swear to uphold it.

Which 'exception' does Mr. Gregory fall under, idiot?

And why did DC Metro tell NBC NOT to use the magazine?

Seeings how David Gregory is a full blown hack for the left I'd like to see how this thing plays out. If he broke the law, will he be subject to arrest like the rest of us, or will he be given a pass..And if so, Why ?

That was the opinion of another officer. Police don't make the laws, Einstein. They prolly should have asked the DA.
Obviously if both stories are true, then NBC got conflicting information. Which is what the stories say anyway.

What Greta vanSusteren said.

DC denied him, he did it anyways. MSNBC is reporting this. Seems like they would mount a better defense than that. Gregory better hire his own attorney and fast.

Consultation with police is not a cut-and-dried determination of what's legal or not.
Once again, Police. Do. Not. Make. Laws. What some officer says is legal or illegal is his opinion. The actual decision belongs to the Court.

In little tiny words, whether a cop says something is illegal or not --- doesn't actually make it illegal or not. In other words the police are not David Gregory's fucking parents.

OTOH I think I have my answer about the life forms on your planet.... :cuckoo:

Are you really THIS stoopid? You act like it is some sort of revelation that police don't make the laws. That isn't in contention and you bringing it up is a really bad attempt at obfuscation. No one is arguin that. What police do is enforce the laws that are written. They have to have knowledge of the laws in order to know what to enforce and what not to enforce. One arrested for breaking a law, THEN it is up to the court system to handle the case. Your argument is that if I ask a policeman if it is OK to drive 100 MPH thru a school zone and he tells me no, I can ignore him because he doesn't make the law. Tell you what gopo, speed thru a school zone and see what happens. When the officer pulls you over, tell him his opinion doesn't matter because he didn't srite the law. Please do it! Report back to the class.

Ronald Reagan was familiar with TDM and Pogo.

"Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

What about when a police officer excuses you and your pregnant wife speeding through traffic to get to the maternity ward? They probably won't give you a speeding ticket and they'd even escort you through! OMG what hypotwits, they "broke the law"!

Exactly. That's what I kept saying yesterday (actually it's right here in the post you quoted so I presume you're addressing Saveliberty). But they are arguing that -- right from the start harping on "duh they went and asked the cops and they said no and they did it anyway" which is not a basis for commission of a crime. So for some of these clowns the simple fact is a revelation. They don't seem to have thought this through in their lust to take political prisoners.

As recently here:
They don't get it, why would it be under investigation if the police gave Gregory permission to break the law?

Cops can't give "permission" -- therefore them declining to do so does not make their ignoring that declination into a violation of the law. This is the fallacy they don't seem to get.
To be fair, the articles so far on this silly story really didn't note that point either. It's left to us, the Profane Pundits..
