Trump wanted to buy Mar-a-Lago and offered $25 million for it, which was refused. Ironically, the owner wanted to donate it as a winter WH. So The Don bought the beach in front for $2 million and threatened to build, thus blocking the mansion's view. The value dropped and Trump bought the mansion for $7 million.

I am not sure if that is what resulted in the slow recovery - there are many more factors at play then what a president can do - for example, there is Congress, and the markets are fairly independent of presidents in many aspects.

Well, Obama was operating on Keynesian theory, that as long as you put the money in circulation, you will get inflation, more investment to avoid the effects of inflation and thus more jobs as the investments add capital to the markets, etc.

It did not happen that way much like George W Bushes tax cuts did not work as expected because the Wall Street equities and derivatives markets are the fastes way to grow money now and that is where the bulk of all the new wealth went and blew that huge bubble that popped in 2008.

Obama's bubble is still growing, but Trump is incentivizing investment in small busness again, and making it a more lucrative investment venture, fully competitive with Wall streets black markets and Whiz Kid Invention Equities.

It is my opinion he did it for self defense. It is obvious that if the political class doesn't like you they will concoct some crime so they can bring you down. It is my opinion he did it for self defense. It is obvious that if the political class doesn't like you they will concoct some crime so they can bring you down. China kills the billionaires they don't like, and I think that trump figured he'd better become part of the political class to dismantle them before they decide to go too far. And good for him that he did.

Trump took a calculated risk. You might have outlined the reasons for taking that risk. But, some say he didn't expect to win and was surprised when he did.
I doubt that because here is mounting evidence of collusion with the Russians to
help sway the election by hacking Hillary's server and releasing e-mails that damaged her in the public eye. And the untimely announcement by Comey of more political transgressions sealed the deal. Coincidence? Maybe...but I don't think so.

Then we must consider the diabolical Crosscheck program that purged thousands of voters with ethnic names from the voting rolls.

If Trump was behind all of that it was because the GOP agents told him how to do it. He isn't smart or experienced enough to come up with that kind of elaborate scam on his own,
