And since Obamacare is nothing like anything that has ever been tried before, it is just an example of Obama's inexperience and hubris. Right? It is nothing like anything that has ever been tried before.

Obamacare is a bad law that was written by one party and pushed through in the most partisan of conditions. It hamstrings businesses at the worst fucking possible time. It is responsible for the loss of jobs and the decrease in hours for many others. It adds to a terrible uncertainty that this country is facing on a variety of levels. It puts the bloated federal bureaucracy -- and, stunningly, the IRS -- in the middle of the health delivery process. It's a steaming pile of shit.

But it's law. It should stand as a shining monument to the fact that elections have consequences. It should also function as a reminder to the GOP in the future that they just can't say "no" -- if they had produced a clear, cohesive, comprehensive alternative we might not be in this situation.

But they did not, and here we are.

Our "leaders" continue to fail us.

.

BS

They offered other solutions but were told to get to the back of the bus.

The Dems wanted their way or the highway, and passed this incredible POS.

So spare me that the GOP didn't offer any good alternatives.

It does no good to offer up any damn thing when the Dems were going to ignore them anyway. Hell they had a Super Majority and almost didn't pass the damn thing.

Their alternative to the Affordable Care Act is...Section 1101 of the Affordable Care Act?

Repubs dont object to some parts of the ACA....its just too much to swallow all at once...too much...too soon...fix and then expand....not expand and then fix.

Perhaps it would help if someday we got a firm accounting of what they like and don't like.

Do they like competitive marketplaces for insurance? Do they like Medicare reform? Do they like investing in the workforce so we have more doctors and nurses to treat our people?

I have no idea how much better a program the repubs had....but it could have been proposed by God Himself and Obabble would have rejected it...that is a fact.

this show how ignorant republicans are .... when the bill came to the house the republicans objected to one thing in the bill "the public option"... the dems dropped it out of the bill ... that was a big deal to them ... the bill got passed with the republicans voting against the bill ... that they help to design ... when they took the part of the bill that said everybody has to get on board with health care or be fined, that was a republican Idea ... so when you say stupid shit I will call you on it .... the republicans didn't draft one bill for health care ... they didn't even try to draft one ... so how could we reject it moron,,,

You didn't have enough support for the Public Option within your own party, which is why it isn't the law today.

That is the Dems ultimate Goal anyway, and the ACA will lead to Chaos, so the attempt down the road is the only way to end the Chaos of a BS law is to install the Single Payer system.

Which is the path the Dems want.

There is total confusion on the value of Obamacare...in the meantime it is disrupting the economy. It is a law voted into being on a partisan basis. The only thing that can be said in its defense is that it is like social security and medicare...resisted at first but now acceopted by all. No mention is made that these programs are bankrupting our country...and Obamacare could push us over the edge...we are headed in the wrong direction. Look at it this way....what has Obama been right about so far?????

You are wrong on one account, and right on another. First off, NOTHING can be said in defense of odumbocare, and it is *NOT* now "accepted," or ACCEOPTED for that matter, "by all," the MAJORITY of America STILL OPPOSES it. Second, our economy is already a train wreck in motion. After odumbocare is fully implemented, our economy will implode BEFORE odumbo leaves office. He will be remembered in history as the president who RUINED America.

Of course it has.

1. Instead of the miraculous cost savings the president claims for ObamaCare, it is far more likely that the outcome will be rationing. Take comparative effectiveness research as an example. The new law creates a new office of comparative effectiveness research that will study the value of one treatment or therapy, compared to another, to determine which is more effective. This is the same brand of secular socialism in which comparative effectiveness research has become a bureaucratic cost-control measure in Britain. There, it is used to ration care. Government uses the research to decide which treatments its citizens can get.

2. Comparative effectiveness often leads to an even more dangerous outcome. When effectiveness is combined with the pressure to control costs and the power to decide who gets what, innovation will suffer and patients will suffer. That is because many see comparative effectiveness as a way for government to allocate scarce medical resources.” Guess who wrote this « Economics Job Market Rumors

3. So, what happens when one drug is more effective than another but costs three times as much? Should a government panel decide that relieving your pain and suffering isn’t worth the cost? That’s what happens in Britain.

a. “You have the right to drugs and treatments that have been recommended by NICE3 for use in the NHS, if your doctor says they are clinically appropriate for you. You have the right to expect local decisions on funding of other drugs and treatments to be made rationally following a proper consideration of the evidence. If the local NHS decides not to fund a drug or treatment you and your doctor feel would be right for you, they will explain that decision to you.” Patients and the public - your rights - NHS EastEngland https://www.eoe.nhs.uk/nhs_constitution/patients_rights.php

This is the future to which ObamaCare has sentenced Americans.

What is their solution? Where is it?

Why aren't they holding it up for all to see every time a teevee camera is on them? Why aren't they pointing out its specific advantages every time they are interviewed? Where are the television commercials pointing out its clear advantages over Obamacare? Where is the online presence of their plan, and why aren't they telling us about it at every opportunity?

Do they need Obama's approval to do that, too?

A family of 4 would get a tax deduction up to 20,000 dollars for health care.

7,500 for an individual

High risk pools to get Federal Subsidies for those with Pre-existing conditions.
Targetting one of the areas that raises rates.

Across State lines, allowing competition with insurance companies throughout the country.

Allows Small Businesses to POOL TOGETHER thus allowing them to bargain as large corps and Unions do already.

Tort reform, that limits awards to Lawyers, yet still allows those wronged to get fair compensation. Another area that drives up costs..............

And so on...................The same dang things the GOP asked for during the ACA discussions as it was being passed.

There is NO Part Time Rule in the dang thing, the law applies to all. No exceptions. No favortism.

And the whole bill is only 188 pages long.

We wouldn't need to hire another 200,000 Federal Workers either.
