Florida vying to become 46th state to allow open carry

Again, your opinion. Citizens have the right to be armed. Period, end of story.
But armed with military designed weapons? Where's your RPG launcher? Have you got an aircraft carrier moored someplace? Is there an ICBM in your back yard?

So why do citizens need to be armed with assault weapons? Hunting?
You don't know the difference between a military grade weapon and a sporting weapon... You can't just look at a picture and determine such things. Dumba$$
The weapon in question is likely not banned. It depends on its model and auto versus semi.
What do you mean??
He means that no one is about to be bamboozelded by the cosmetics argument from the gun lobby again. The assault weapons ban of 1996 was lead down a primrose path with arguments over detachable stocks, flash suppressors and grip styles. The firing mechanism and the round capacity including ammunition magazines are the point.

And yet there were no positive results from the Brady Bill.

No...you are wrong...the "assault" weapon ban in 1996 was another feel good, really stupid gun law that did nothing to stop violent criminals or mass shooters from getting guns and when it ended nothing changed either way....it was a huge, waste of time that accomplished nothing and was just plain stupid........

France has an assault weapon ban...a real one...their people cannot own military weapons or fully automatic weapons....and every criminal or terrorist who wants one has absolutely no problem getting them....

See...the French went farther down the path of stupidity and it didn't help them either....

Consider yourself educated in reality.....

The Second Amendment is not needs based just like you don't have to prove a need before you have freedom of speech.

The "need" is expressed quite well with the phrase in the Bill of Rights "being necessary to the security of a free State".

If you are a pussy that is afraid of firearms then don't buy one. Nobody is stopping you. However, you are being a real despicable asshole when you advocate using the force of government to "infringe" the right to keep and bear arms. What the hell is the matter with you? Did your father not show you enough affection or something?

By the way, my "needs" for firearms are the following:

1. Recreational purposes

2. Self defense

3. Hunting

4. Maintain the strength of the citizenry to hold the government accountable for oppression.

Of all of those needs it is number four that the Founding Fathers of this country felt was the most important and it is just as valid today as it was over 200 years ago. Maybe even more so.
I own guns, and your fetish for them doesn't mean we can't repeal the 2nd Amendment, which we will eventually or whatever new nations are founded here will drop. There is no need to most people to own firearms.

Again, your opinion. Citizens have the right to be armed. Period, end of story.

What do you know about me that would make you think that? I'm a bigger intellect than you expect.
Ok, which one is the military grade??
Use your intellect

Tell me the difference
I live in northeast Ohio where deer season opens later this week. Deer hunting is to this area as skiing is to Aspen. Skeet and trap shooters shoot two miles down the road from me and the din of shotgun fire persists until sunset, especially on the weekends and Wednesday's. We fired .22 rifles at Boy Scout camp. My father was a single action pistol enthusiast.

Guess what! Those shooting sports use sporting grade weapons. Not practical nor needed are semi-automatic firing systems and large capacity magazines. It's rounded the bend and gone into someplace else to claim the semi-automatic weapons could be described as 'sporting' grade weapons.

Ok, you seen the picture I posted. Which one of the two firearms is the fake assault weapon?? And why?

The legislation fell right where the congressmen, bought and paid for by the NRA, decided that grips and stocks and flash suppressors and other cosmetic distinctions were what made a particular gun more lethal, more dangerous, more capable of really racking up a stunning body count. They were useful idiots to assure nothing would work in the minds of those drinking the NRA kool-aide.

The guns used in Paris, semi-automatic firing systems and large capacity magazines, were brought in from Belgium. Just as the guns on the streets of D.C. are brought in from outside.

Semi-automatic weapons only allows you to shoot faster. If somebody has plans to shoot and kill you, does it really make a difference how fast they do it?

When we repeal said right, and we will eventually, it is you that will be looking for another nation, like Somalia where you can play with your deadly toys.

If you were a real man you could walk around unarmed so you're correct, America is not for pussies, like you.

As i said, America's not a place for the weak and whiny. It never has been. America's on top of the world solely because of guns and violence. Without guns, that couldn't have been achieved.

Guns are America. You're just gonna have to deal with that. Or you simply relocate to another country. It is what it is.
Your childish fears of life here without guns are noted, and rejected of course.
Why worry who is carrying or not??
The John Waynes have a bad habit of killing people, as do guns.

Funny I never read of any stories of John Wayne's. I read plenty of stories of thugs shooting and killing people. I read stories of people that used guns to protect themselves. But no John Wayne stories.
You mean like the asshole who shot the victim of a car-jacking, grabbed his brass, and ran away before the police arrived?

How is that a John Wayne story?

I guess he would have been better off not being armed and then shot dead. Would that have made you happy?

He shot the victim, dumbass.

Texas ‘good guy with a gun’ shoots carjacking victim in head — then runs away

And then ran away.

Nope, the pussy is one of your nutters, Save it for yourself.

There's also a story about a 91yr old man that was recently burned to death. Should we ban matches?
